Has DP ever had HACKER attacks?

Has DP ever had HACKER attacks?
What were the consequences?
What kind of attack was it?

Just for curiosity! It's a huge forum, and i guess hackers-lamers are attracted by it

 

Nice question. I don't know, but I'm sure that a lot of people tried to hack DP with 0 success . Perhaps I'm wrong..

 

I just thought of it cause it's very large, and i know that hackers-lamers want to show their power by hacking big sites...
So i was wondering if any hacker has done this before...like obscuring the forum or putting it down!
It would be interesting to know!

 

Well i met one guy who stays near me and he claimed that he had hacked DP many days ago
He said that he hacked DP and he uploaded his own page on this site
I dunno he is lying or not but he said that just search the DP as username nirvana or something and you will get my thread where i have given the screen shots of hacked DP

I don't trust this
No one knows DP got hacked or not but only shawn and DP mods can tell us the truth

 

Dunno if it's been hacked before, but it has crashed before due to traffic volumes from Digg.com a few times.

 

Couple DDos attacks im sure, Its on a secured version of vBulletin should have no problems.

 

At least 1 time it has to be hacked i believe. Since then, security levels were raised and nowadays, no one can get in here.

Can an Admin or a Mod give us a clue?

dpes hacking happen a lot to boards or something? is vbuilitin that weak?

 

I don't think DP was hacked by now but it was under serious phishing attacks a while ago.

 

yeah not hacked but phishing, and someone trying to grab passwords by simply guessing random combos

I think it was harked ever.Sometime dp is not good enough to access.

We hear only assumptions and opinions about the dp hack. No word yet from people with authority... I mean mods.

I am here for last 1 year and never saw DP being hacked, yep but there was a couple of DDoS attack a few months back apart from that nothing so big

Wow, I mean if it was hacked, and the hacker only wanted to download the database, I am sure the admin would know, but would he risk telling everyone since the vbulletin hashes are salted?

I mean, it is a big responsibility on your part to have a strong password, and if it is strong, it is salted in the database, so there should be no problems at all.

But, I personally don't think this forum ever got hacked, and I don't think someone has enough patience or connection will stay online to download the whole database, haha
