Hey guys, it has come the time where I want to move on. If any moderators see this could you please delete my account, or point me in the right direction as to how to go about this. Thank you.

    Good luck everyone. :)

But where don't you just leave the account as it is? You may come back in the future who knows? Or if you are not coming back, just don't login. Why go through the hassles of asking for a deletion?

My reason for asking for deletion is that of privacy! It is my right to ask for deletion for this purpose. I hope you understand ;)

You can't. Just logout, and forget about DP.

Why would you want to do this anyway?

edit: bleh, posted at the same time.

I didn't intend to post this thread to endure questioning of this sort, all I ask is for my account to be deleted or for someone to kindly point out how I would do this myself as DP does not list in in the FAQ. My reasons are my reasons. Thank you.

kevthegr8 ahh now this is a problem. I am sure there is a way as I have a right to be taken off the DP database. Maybe contacting the admin? But still how is one to go about this?

The reason it isn't mentioned in the FAQs is because it does not happen. Accounts are not deleted and I don't suppose they'll make an exception in your case. Troublesome users are permanently banned but their accounts remain in a banned state.

We do not delete accounts. If you're worried about your privacy, edit all info you have in your user cpanel and then log out.

CountryBoy it seems that DP is avoiding a serious feature that all such websites should have. Having ones data removed from a system is ones right, therefore this implementation should be added to DP for security and privacy reasons. I WANT MY ACCOUNT DELETED I HAVE THE RIGHT!

Katy as a moderator had already given you the answer. For all the rest of the forums I used, none offered such feature as deletion of accounts, you need to consider the discussions you made and the threads and posts. If DP were to start deleting, some of the threads and discussions would go haywire.

I think the method she mentioned just now is the best approach.

kevthegr8 I am sure many other would agree with us too. We should have the right to terminate our account, it was our choice to join and input our information, it should be our choice to leave and have our information removed!!!!!

It's not my forum or my rules - I'm just telling you that given there has been literally hundreds of people ask the same thing in the past and none of them have been successful then your chances of success are negligible.

If you're worried about privacy perhaps you should have been careful with the data you actually supplied in the first instance. You'll be wanting the Wayback Machine to remove your posts too, huh?
