Hello, all. I just created a new site. It's sort of a goof to see if I could attract traffic to a controversial topic. Here's the url: http://www.hillarygetalife.com/. I've noticed something very strange about the Adsense ads that appear there: The first time I visited any of the pages, the Adsense content was properly related to Hillary Clinton (or Hillary Duff, but that's another story). When I refresh a page or return to it later, the Adsense content is completely different. Now I see items related only to PHP and mySQL. So I have a couple of questions: Do you see the same phenomenon I described when you visit the site? Do you have an explanation? My best guess is that Google has something built in to censor certain sensitive topics, like political ones. But it only kicks in after one request for the page from each user. That's the only way I see to explain what I'm seeing. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Or come up with another explanation? Thanks.
Boy, I wish I could see that error! I'm not getting it, so I don't have a clue how to fix it. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for letting me know!
But, the error could very well explain why the AdSense is not accurate - and why it displays ads for PHP. Try clearing your browser cache, and then see if you get the error.
I think I may have corrected the error. Could someone please try again and let me know? Then maybe we'll be able to get back to the original question.
I'm getting the error too on the homepage, all the source code says is: Duplicate entry '0' for key 1 Code (markup): Hmm, the site isn't even indexed by Google, so you can't expect matched adsense ads on a brand new site. Nice Adsense-clicking bait
Duplicate entry '0' for key 1 with opposition like this I bet Hillary Clinton is quaking in her boots (or should that be high heals)
Not very effective, I agree. Well, I finally fixed the bug, with the help of a free trial account at BrowserCam so I could get view of the site from a different URL. It turned out to be a fairly obscure mySQL configuration problem. In any case, to return to the reason I posted here in the first place, does anyone else see the same Adsense peculiarities that I mentioned at the beginning of this thread? And do you know why? Thanks very much.
I am still seeing the "my sql ads" I think this line of your content is creating the problem "Withdraw before you do irreparable damage to the Party" Fix it and see, you should have relevant ads
Although I highly disagree with the content of your site, I went to see if I was getting the same adsense. I have seen that only php and mysql ads are being displayed for me as well. Whether that is google is yet to be determined, but those are the only ads that I see.
I changed it, and it doesn't help. The really weird thing is how it shows relevant ads the first time you visit the page and then changes when you refresh. I think that proves that it knows what's relevant. It's just choosing not to display that content. Anyone else have an idea?
OK, but what specifically do you think is causing Google to refuse to show relevant ads? The site has the elements they demand: privacy policy, original content pertinent to a coherent topic. How are they figuring that it doesn't "deserve" to get relevant ads?
All right, I've been misinformed. Why don't you set me straight? I posted here because I want to learn something about how Adsense works, not for any other reason.
