Hmm okay, i definately won't be using paypal again. Not after this I hope my parents won't find out. (im 15 fyi)
Oh and in addition to my previous post-there are alternatives! http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/fsb/0802/gallery.paypal_alternatives.fsb/index.html Good Luck!
Thanks everyone for replying here. I hope ill be able to sleep better from now on. If there's anything you want to add, feel free to do it!. Yours Truly Lelle
Lelle, if you are under 18 don't worry at all, paypal's contract is not valid so they can't do anything, also they must check that each signup is above legal age and they don't, so is not your fault. PD: Changing account data is useless because account changes are logged, so they know your name and adress.
yes its safe to let go that account and forget about it... but in futrue dont use fake info in accounts or else you will suffer big lose as paypal will drain all your money if you cant provide proof of your reality.... also using fake info means you are a scammer or fraud.... so thats why you lost the money...
I wouldn't even worry, the amount of money they have held from me, i couldn't care less if i owed them $250. They're a rubbish service.
Why people are giving and advice and sympathy to someone attempting to commit fraud, I don't know. What I do know is that I hope Paypal throw the book at you.
Ask them kindly and they will fill the balance back up to £0 for you. On my personal paypal account, I bought $1,000 worth of clothing and my bank thought the transaction was fraud and took the money back from paypal. I contacted paypal, and they put it back to $0 for me, out of good will.
relax if they want to prosecute you they will first need to prove you did something wrong - scammed someone of course if that is not the case they can't prove it also for 250 euros they won't care just relax, ignore them. It is not your fault if they took the money that was yours. They are the one that should be prosecuted for stealing your money and putting you in this situation.
It would be better if you gave no advice. Owing money isn't a good thing and ignoring the party that you owe money to isn't a smart idea. Nobody "stole" any money here, but they've lost it due to a dispute. The OP also used false information, which is against the terms and is under 18. They had messed everything up from the beginning.
