I hear you: I bought 1000 visitors, they sent me the email saying that my ad was live, and that it expired... AT THE SAME TIME! No purchases whatsoever! (+ terrible customer service)

Yeah I have a PTC, I'm trying to encourage my members to take advantage of what is on the actual ad. I guess if you guys want to see how I perform, you could always try mine:

    http://4bux.info

I have an affiliate link in rotation and I've gained about 10 referrals off of it :).

The bad thing is that the people don't actually look at the site.

    Stupid tabbed browsing ruined it

Here's a thought. Create a false page that has, "Get paid to sign up!" A link below that goes to your site. When they click it they will register thinking that they will get money, but really they won't, but hey you got some registered users :).

Usually all ptc sites have free money seeker as their members. If there is no free money involved in what ever ad is showing up, then they have zero interest.

Make a big banner even sayin "5 cents for just signing up!" and all will register without giving any single thought.

Just like any other traffic, there ARE uses for ptc traffic, most of them are money making deals. If you can get them to a signup page that takes LESS then 30 seconds then you will see more people signing up. People clicking on PTC want to earn money, thats why they are doing it, they dont want to post on forums or that other stuff.

I do agree however that some may totally rip you off and never actually show your ad, so be careful there :p

PTC isn't useless traffic, in fact it can be fantastic traffic if you play your cards right.

What do we know about PTC members?

They are looking for ways to earn extra cash that don't cost them anything.

If you're promoting anything besides "how to make extra money" you'll get nothing. If you're promoting something for sale, you'll get nothing. These people actually sit there for hours to make $2.00, do you really think they'll buy an ebook for $50??? that's a months salary to them.

I clean up promoting other GPT programs that a lot of users don't know about. Most users stumbled on the site thanks to a family or friend referral, they aren't web savvy at all and they often don't know of other free opportunities.

That's not a bad idea at all :D

People using ptc's rarely ever look at the sites, so it really doesn't matter what's on it
