Google is a monopoly and they don't want any completion in the face of Microsoft or anyone else.
The google executive should for once STFU!

Thanks for the link northwest. Interesting read. It seems pretty hypocritical of Schmidt to throw stones at MS about "breaking the Internet" or getting monopoly market share in the case that the Microhoo merger does happen, since GOOG would still have a larger share of the search and online advertising markets.

Google is now selling/accepting SEO services through Performics. How about that?

Expect Google to sell or drop the SEO services offered by Performics and keep the affiliate marketing, which is one of the largest.

Google is right! It will break them apart hahaha because Google is so stupid trying to crack down all webmasters and websites who definitely loves them and made Google no.1. Now they are facing their very own downfall...

Personally, while Yahoo & MSN together make for a stronger competitor to Google - I don't see anyone taking google out for a while.

Consumers, for the most part, will continue to use the search engine that gives them the most relevant results - which, like it or not, is google right now.

I don't know what the hue & cry is all about. If Google believes quality alone can bring clients, then is should stick to quality, why is afraid of other companies ? The answer is that it does not believe in quality, but, monopoly.

I know a few ex-google fans, who hate google because their adsense accounts got banned and their top blogs at blogger was shutdown. I still like google except for this mini-interview which theorizes that the internet will break :(

I don't see any progress of that MS and Y! merge. I heard of it once and then never saw anything new. Are they serious OR just a joke?

I don't think it is a joke. But, Yahoo has not shown any strong signs of accepting it...

From a business perspective, it makes more sense for Yahoo! and MSN to team up and figure out Google's business and technical plan - which seems to have been under wraps for some time now. I believe if they can create MORE competition for Google, Google will slowly start to sink. Now if we start to look more at Google in depth, we will see a company that hasn't had a new idea in some time now. They appear to be banking on adwords and their affiliate program. I believe Steve Jobs followed a similar model in the 80's with Apple and almost went bankrupt. . .
