The lastest version of CGIproxy supports flash which means it supports youtube. Unfortunetly no shared host wants to host your CGIproxies so you'll have to go dedicated. thewird
yup i'm liking the latest version... i always liked cgiproxy i was busy and i got a chance to check 3 days ago and saw it latest one
Ya I buying a copy very soon, err.. Actually not becuase he only takes google checkout. shit Edit: I emailed him about it, but he probably will ignore the email I'm guesing or say he don't like paypal or something.
Nah...for a couple months, you have top pay to get CGIproxy. Take it as an advanced copy as well as a donation. After that, it will be free again. You can read it on his site.
yup its for a while and trust me if you get it, its worth it... but watch out for modding for it uses alot of resources mainly cpu.
CGI Proxy is still free. I just installed a copy from here: http://install.xav.com/index.cgi Just Pick James Marshall CGI Proxy, enter your FTP info & the above link installs it for you free of charge.
Thought I'd jump in and share this one...if you're looking for .info names they're going for $1.69 @ http://gdtechindia.com
probably J's just assuming if one has thought about running a CGI proxy, one gotta have huge $ and credit card to afford 1 cgiproxy per server didnt g-checkout give out referral $ if someone who doesnt have it signup for it? maybe thats why too
the paid and new version is just like the old one ! any demos? also does it again eat up the server resources? like the old versions?!
It supports flash and has lots of javascript fixes and better compatibility overall. This means MORE server resources. If you can't afford a good dual-core server with 2GB of ram, you can't afford cgiproxy. thewird
how many cgi proxies can one run on such a server? I have a quad core with 2 gb, how many could be run on such a server with mild traffic, with perhapse 300-500/day.
if you must, go 2 max with mild traffic but its betetr off to go with 1 because it uses CPU and resources alot and new one is more advanced so as thewird said, more resource usages.
