I'm curious about which promotion methods work the best, so I thought, why not ask others?

What are your most successful promotion methods?

 

My best promotion method are from search engine.. I also buy some links and that also worked well for me.

If your site has a lot of searches (according to searchdata), the best thing might be to work on making sure a page is very SE friendly, as a high rank will bring a lot of traffic for a long time. However if you're looking to get to that point and need the links or whatever, the best promotion mechanism you can create (which isn't out of your control, IE: Search engines) would be to have viral content, which people link to freely, and do most of the work for you. Tends to bring a lot of visitors, and help rankings if you can do it properly.

 

unique site content is important, also backward links from directories, forums, article sites - basically whereever you can get them.

 

I usually just submit, submit, submit.
just type in "submit KEYWORD site" in google, replace keyword with whatever type of site you have, and usually you can find lots of free places to list your link.

 

I usually go around forums advertising my services in the offers section. I also post up my link the signatures and submit my site to a few search engines. If you do get customers have them write reviews and post them up in a forum so that other customers won't have doubts when going with your company.

 

I posting to forum every day and I believe
this to be one of the best advertising methods
available,it is often overlooked as being not very

I post to forums on a daily basis as well. I learned thru the market researchers at my affiliate company tha tthe highest number of online usage is on Tuesays at Noon. I try to post free ads that will be at the top of the newest ad list, right around this time. I get a lot of exposure this way and can easily track my success using keycodes for the links to these sites. I also get a lot of traffic to my sites, landing pages, ect. by using a site called traffup and I do a lot of viral marketting. I use yahoo messenger and build friends thru chat and then slowly ease in the idea of my online businesses and products. i get sign ups this way as well, but it is a lot of time building trust.

 

Article Marketing is the best method of promotion.

 

Agree with jhardy2008. Article Marketing is great and you can dominate top ranks (long tailed keywords) within hours. Automation is the only key to succeed with AM. Good Luck.

 

Forum marketing is best no doubt on this.I have found forum participation also works.

 

Try off page optimization. White hat must.
More backlinks give you more traffic. So try to get huge classified backlinks for your website.
