Does Wordpress ping automatically?

    Does Wordpress ping automatically after each post? Just to make sure, pinging is letting rss feeds know that you have new content right? Can someone also explain trackback links?

    Yes it does.

    Trackpack and pingback help your traffic unless you hate spam.

    Yeah i was reading that only yesterday, someone was asking about pinging services and was told wordpress is automatic with it anyway.

    Interesting. I always use pingomatic.com anyway...what's the deal with blogger? Nobody seems to like them anymore.

    Hm.. Blogger coding is just still straight forward and is great if you just want to have a simple blog to introduce yourself and write your thoughts. You need to ping and drive in traffic manually.

    As for other platform like wordpress, it gives users more option over the control over how they would like their site viewed by the public. On top of that you can add categories which make it more neat. This platform also uses pingomatic.com as their automatic primary service but can still add in your bookmarking site pinging services.
