    My website is recently new...
    http://www.fitnessnmuscle.com/

I have been randomly checking its age with the domain age tools online... mostly
    dnscoop.com

The age seems to change frequently, by the creation date changing to a sooner time.
But if i whois my domain it comes up with the accurate created date but something else i dont understand...

    What does the
Last modified on........: 2008-03-01 09:11:10 GMT
mean for the modified on? As in updating a page on my site, or something with the actualy domain?

I put that modified part up because at one age checker tool the age came up as starting from march the 1st.

    Any thoughts on this?
If im not clear please ask and I can try to reword...

    Thanks

"Last modified" means the last time any of your whois info were updated.

Domain age should be calculated starting from the creation date of your domain.

    I hope this will help.

Thats that part that is gettign me...
If I whois my domain the creation date is correct.
But if i use an age tool like dnscoop, its says the wrong date. And the wrong date has changed more than once.

I emailed my host which supplied me with a free domain for my one year purchase and got this reply...
"For the benefit of the customer we don't fully process the registration for a month so that we can offer a full refund in the first 30 days. The Expiration of the Domain on your account is Feb 6, 2009.

This does not change the domain registration or effect your site in anyway. "

May be there is an error with dnscoop tool.

Why you don't calculated yourself :) .. Domainers always use Years for the age of domains. EX: "This domain is 2 years old" or "This domain registered since 2006" .. You don't have to list it exactly in days..

I figured all domain tools would use whois and calculate from there... If i try other domain age tools its still coming up with different answers than it was at the previous time I tried it.

Maybe once the one month pd is up that the tech guys responded back with about not fully processing the domain, it will start to be normally calculated.

I was just curious about the entire thing.
