The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability. Americans are directly connected to this conflict, and increasingly imperiled by its devastation.

    Facts:

119 Israeli children have been killed by Palestinians and 982 Palestinian children have been killed by Israelis since September 29, 2000. source
    [IMG]

1,033 Israelis and at least 4,604 Palestinians have been killed since September 29, 2000. source
    [IMG]

During Fiscal Year 2007, the U.S. gave more than $6.8 million per day to Israel and $0.3 million per day to the Palestinians. source
    [IMG]

Israel has been targeted by at least 65 UN resolutions and the Palestinians have been targeted by none. Read the full list here.

1 Israeli is being held prisoner by Palestinians, while 10,756 Palestinians are currently imprisoned by Israel. source

0 Israeli homes have been demolished by Palestinians and 18,147 Palestinian homes have been demolished by Israel since 1967. source

Israel currently has 223 Jewish-only settlements and ‘outposts’ built on confiscated Palestinian land. Palestinians do not have any settlements on Israeli land.

    American Media Influence:

An exhaustive study of the op-ed pages of the five largest newspapers in the US (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and The Washington Post) reveals that these papers are, on average, 2.5 times more likely to print the opinions of an Israeli than a Palestinian.

Off the Charts: Report on New York Times Israel/Palestine Coverage
In the first study period The New York Times reported Israeli deaths at a rate 2.8 times higher than Palestinian deaths, and in 2004 this rate increased by almost 30%, to 3.6, widening still further the disparity in coverage. The Times’ coverage of children’s deaths was even more skewed. In the first year of the current uprising, Israeli children’s deaths were reported at 6.8 times the rate of Palestinian children’s deaths. In 2004 this differential also increased, with deaths of Israeli children covered at a rate 7.3 times greater than the deaths of Palestinian children.

What every anti-American and anti-Semite needs to know:

Most Americans are smarter than to be so blind and gullible. Obviously not all, though.

I have been on that site reading for over an hour, and it is heart wrenching. I actually did a who is on the site, and it is based out of Washington DC. I was also trying to see if it was trustworthy source, but you found more info than I did. She does seem one-sided, but what specifically do you think she is lying about? Do you think her statistics are correct?

No surprise to see GTech defending Israel at all costs lol.

Both sides are as bad as each other and Israel is certainly no angel.

I believe it would be fairer to ask "what isn't she lying about?" Her site has no more credibility than alex jones. She has been exposed as a fraud and as such, I don't personally put any stock into what she has to say.

I simply posted information that I've posted before, when others who have a dire hatred of Israel use her site as a source. If you do a search in the forum for ifamericansknew.org , you can see where others have tried to pass off this propaganda. It's always used by the same "types" of people.

Ah, going for the "both sides" angle, then directly back to singling out Israel while never having said a bad word about a terrorist in all your posts?

Yeah! *Someone* might actually buy into it, huh, AGS?

We know who you stand behind and support. You don't have to keep convincing me, Captain Illuminati ;)

Aaah. Ok. I wish there was a more unbiased source. Usually when you read about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict it is written by someone biased to one side or another. I would rather just have the truth and facts without the propaganda. Thanks:)

A couple logical questions you probably won't see any logical answers in return.

If Americans Knew has been praised by media monitoring organizations such as Project Censored and Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (which is what we're all about here, right?).

San Jose Mercury News called an If Americans Knew report that showed that its front page headlines had reported on Israeli deaths at a rate over 19 times greater than it reported Palestinian deaths fundamentally flawed." However, Grade the News, a media research project based at San Jose State University and affiliated with Stanford University's Graduate Program in Journalism, conducted a similar study after being surprised by the results of the report by If Americans Knew which produced essentially the same results.

You can't argue with the dollar.

Pro-Israel interests are a fixture in American politics, having developed an organized presence in Washington and across the country that is backed by generous campaign contributions and intensive lobbying.

Between the 1989-90 election cycle and 2002, pro-Israel interests contributed $41.3 million while pro-Arab/Muslim interests contributed only $297,000 to federal candidates and party committees.

On Wednesday, March 12, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs will hold a hearing on the FY2009 budget for international affairs, including the President’s request for $2.55 billion in military aid to Israel, a 9% increase in actual spending from 2007.

This hearing comes just days after Israel’s week-long attack on the Gaza Strip which left at least 117 Palestinians dead, over half of whom were civilians and at least 22 of whom were children.Israel’s ongoing use of U.S. weapons to kill civilians is a violation of U.S. law which requires military aid to be cut off, not increased.

When it comes to America, who do you think is calling the shots?

I know. I've never seen it either.

I have seen you admit you support hamas.

I have seen you start threads seeking sympathy and support for terrorists.

I have seen you call a man that has repeatedly called for Jewish genocide a hero.

While we've never seen a bad word for a terrorist, we do know how you feel about Americans. We do know how you feel about American soldiers. We know how you feel about the media...the same media you often get your news from when prisonplanet is down.

So, I think we all pretty much know who and what you support. Things you don't support, you have no problem in letting the world know. Things you do support, you are were a little ambiguous about before, but not so much anymore.

You don't have to keep convincing me, you've done a heck of a job already.

There is no logic to propaganda and disinformation espoused by people who have a dire hated for Israel.

Very troubling you would use such a source. Speaks volumes. No surprise it has a "Ron Paul" signature attached to it either.

I agree, all your posts are BS. Still, sometimes I feel compelled to "paste" a few of your past posts, to remind everyone of who and what you support. Not that it's a big secret. Better get some sleep, you have prayers in a few hours ;)

A study of National Public Radio that Seth Ackerman conducted for Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) ....(Thats FAIRNESS AND ACCURACY IN REPORTING..for anyone who may have missed it) showed that NPR had reported on 89 percent of Israeli children’s deaths and 20 percent of Palestinian ones. In other words, NPR, which has been accused of being “pro-Palestinian,” reported Israeli deaths at a rate four and a half times greater than Palestinian deaths.

Two studies we conducted of the San Jose Mercury News – for a total of twelve months of data – also revealed enormous distortion in coverage. For example, we discovered that front-page headline coverage of all deaths (adults and children) had so emphasized Israeli deaths over Palestinian ones that the newspaper had, in effect, reversed reality – and then widened the gap. While 313 Israelis and 884 Palestinians had been killed during this period, Mercury News front-page headlines had reported on 225 Israeli deaths, and only 34 Palestinian ones – 72 percent of Israeli deaths and 4 percent of Palestinian ones.

The Illusion of Balance - NPR's coverage of Mideast deaths doesn't match reality

I am all for facts, feel free to send them my way.

    Thanks Friend... :)

We have seen how the MSM is controlled, and any fact or news or information which exposes Israel as an apartheid state is curtailed by the media. We have witnessed such media black-out during Ron Paul's campaign also. The same people, with the power to control the US government, and influence US citizens.

You will soon find yourself being labeled as an anti-semite and israel hater and terrorist-appleaser. These are usual neocon tactics to divert your attention and to put you on the defensive....

Instead of trying to find a site that should think for you or tell you what you should think, go to any source that you want and find information and based on that information, draw your own conclusions.
Don't look at that site conlusion, look at the numbers and check it's accuracy with other sources and then decide if it makes sense for you that USA government should be more interested in what is good for Israel than what is good for USA and it's citizens. ;)
