Its actually been out in BETA for almost a year.

I'm not sure how someone could hack the code unless they either had your key or the main database at the PP home office. I bet the code is some sort of mathamatic algorithim or something.. And still, they would also have to have your password.
I'm sure each key is on it's own sequence, in-sync with the one at the main office. Or random groups of keys are on the same sequence, perhaps? I have not clue actually... just guessing.

So, in conclusion, lets say, now the one who is trying to break your PP account will need your password and know the answers to your security questions, which are not so hard to find out if the hacker knows you ;)

Well this would be a great advantage indeed. Knowing that there are a lot of people good at hacking. Thanks for the information.

aol employees used to have this as well as my father who worked for a big pharmacy chain as a cfo, he would need to log into his computer and enter the #;s on the pad (which changed every 60 seconds)

Each Keychain, had a different number display as well...

This is a GREAT Idea, but i can be annoying as you will have to carry it if u send money while on the road, but GREAT since even if your PP Password is stolen, no one can access it (many people sniff passwords via motels/hotels with access)

Very true on both counts. .. The vast majority of PayPal scams and stolen accounts is from people who do not know their victims. They like that it is a "victimless crime" in their eyes. I don't think they would easily know your security question answers without having to break pace and do a bit of investigating. All for a PP balance that may only be $2 as far as they know.

At any rate, it is as they say, "An added layer of protection".

I have mine now, have had it for a couple weeks now and I really am happy that I got one, I reccomend them to anyone who uses Ebay or PayPal.
