Emm no. As I see you have prices of gas twice lower than we have but still that's the way it is and I really don't mind ;)

It bounces between $1.10 - $1.25 per Litre here, which equates to:

    ($1.10 - $1.25 ) * 4L = $4.40 - $5.00 Cdn / Gallon

    $4.40 - $5.00 Cdn = $4.46 - $5.08 US / Gallon (according to xe.com conversion tool)

To the OP, I would like for gas to go back down to $3.08. Right now the lowest grade of gasoline is $3.37 in West Palm Beach, FL, and diesel is $4.00.

How much does that add up to for a poor student like me?

24 mile round trip journey to school x 5 days of school = 120 miles a week

    120 miles/27 miles a gallon city = 4.6 gallons a week

4.6 gallons x $3.37 = $15.50 a week just for school (without Air Conditioning on)

Takes $40 to fill my little 11.9 gallon tank :(

About $3.30 for standard. Really regretting buying the Hummer! Horrible fuel economy.

My car runs ok on standard grade, but better on premium ;) It however doesn't get great fuel economy either, but better than the Hummer.

I agree entirely. I think it's grossly unfair that we in the UK have to pay excessive tax on fuel to 'save the planet' when the US, a nation with only 1/20 of the world's population, produces 1/4 of the world's carbon emissions.

And it's going to keep going up higher and higher!

Why? Because we need it, and greedy merchants know how much we need it! They are making sure they take full advantage of us!

Until someone comes out with something that can compete with gas, prices will continue to grow. Where there is a demand without a solid alternative there is usually greed of the highest level among suppliers!

I wont disagree, however the US is much, much bigger than the 'UK' some peoples daily drive to work would equal driving clear crossed your country.

We also pay a pretty good penny in taxes, either directly or indirectly.
