You should use TrueBoxShot definitely. In fact, if you are only making one cover..download the trial set it up how you like it then send me the files and I will create it with my version for a few bucks
Hey Innovati, I have wondered the same thing, and what I have found is it's like a peace-of-mind sort of thing mixed with some misguided thought of having something tangible. The ebook covers are nice looking, some of them, I've made some, seen some, good stuff. However, it's only a tool to help sell something. If I go to a site and they say buy this and theres no picture of something to buy, I'm not buying it. It's like shiny stuff and rednecks, it just has an appeal. Not to be insulting to anyone, I like them too, but it really is just to make the buyer feel all warm and fuzzy over what they are about to buy. That thing looking like a real book is just enough reassurance to make the product seem legit enough to buy.
CoverEditor looks really nice, but that is new since I bought my product. I use the TrueBoxShot standalone because that is just what they had available at the time of my purchase. It's awesome but the other program could certainly be better. If I were you...I would download the trial of both. Play around with them and see what options you like. That should help you decide which one to go with. Once you know just go through the registration process through the program and your done! Let us know which one you decide! (if you do)
I've made a few free eCover action scripts for Photoshop. You can download them from http://spentoggle.deviantart.com/art/eCover-Slim-Photoshop-Action-79848611 and at http://spentoggle.deviantart.com/art/e-Cover-Action-Script-2-77366448 Use for whatever reason you want, do whatever you want with the scripts
Nope I just photoshop it myself. Being a graphic artist, I wouldn't allow myself to pay for something that can be done in a matter of seconds lol It's a matter of pride and ego of graphics people
Ouch...thanks for the info. I'm just glad I got the software before they had issues, because its really useful lol.
It was about Boxshots3D and not TrueBoxShot and I finally got it! At least I learned that plimus will not help to boost your sales! lol
I have learned to get more traffic and money more from 2 page ebooks that I bought here on DP than I ever did from every book I ever bought in the bookstore. Printed books for webmaster are either outdated or just newbie stuff that 90% of experienced webmasters already know.
