Sorry if this is in the wrong section i didn't know where else to post it. Sometime ago i bought a site http://videoentertain.com . I just had it laying around and i totally forgot about it. Then today i was looking through some files and i saw videoentertain and i was like wait i own that site. But this is the problem. I have no clue where its hosted , i also don't know cpanel username and password. And stupid cPanel doesn't have forgotten password. So thats it i guess ill just let it go lol. - Prilep
The whois record says it's DNS is with Hostswamp.com, so I'd contact them first about getting account access back. Failing that, login to Enom.com where the domain is registered and change the DNS to a new hosting company and copy/paste as much as the site as you can to the new host. Once all that's done, don't forget about it
Yeah i know its hosted ad hostswamp the owner of the site gave me 5 years hosting lol. I dont really care about it much. - Prilep
Ooops! Huston we have a problem! Would this be of help to you? Just call them and ask them if you can obtain your password and username back!
LOL. Many times I have bought sites and done nothing with them. Last year I spent $120 on a website and havent even uploaded the files. Laze gets the better of us all
One slight problem with that though, you would still need the username and password for the other site if you were using that nifty little site transfer feature cpanel has, even if he copy and pasted most of it over there may still be quite a few essential files I've forgotten my whm passwords quite a few times lol, it's even more annoying on sites you like to visit when you forget the password and you can't retreive/reset it because you dont use the email adress anymore, ie the domain expires or something Easily done lol
