Again with this claiming to be offended. Is the fact that you take offence to something in any way supposed to make me want to stop doing it? You are perfectly entitled to be offended. Take all the offence you like.

When the world becomes a global village, various cultures, which were far apart, come together. The issue at hand is that people feel their religion is not being respected when there is blatant disregard for religious sensitivities.

West has never seen true multi-culturalism. Whenever they encountered a different culture, they either killed them (Native Americans during the Inquisition by Conquistadors), or enslaved them (Africans). That explains the behaviour of danish newspapers.

Look friend, the world has changed. And I agree Muslims should be more broad-minded, and should disregard these petty issues. But there has to be some sort of balance from the other side as well. How can you expect us to control our extremists when you don't control yours? (Not really yours, but danish :D)

People should actually seek out and learn from multi-cultural societies like India, to know how India has been so successful in maintaining peace and stability, even though there are more than 800 languages, and innumerable cultures and traditions here...

Problem is this is really a petty issue which the extremists makes full use of. Granted that the Danes should be more respecting towards the Islamic religion but what the extremists had done, rioting, planning murders, burning cars are far beyond normal reaction.

I agree... Such a petty issue should be disregarded. It is only done to hurt the feelings, by insulting someone so close to your heart and mind, which would anger anybody.

Muslims are extremely passionate about the religion, coz it is the way of life. Maybe thats why there was such a reaction. It only causes more resentment and anger against Muslims in general, and collectively brands them all as extremists and Islamists and terrorists.

I firmly believe in mutual respect for all religions and cultures.

The Dane cartoonists are using the cartoons as a free speech tool to prove their point that Muslims are intolerant, those guys really fall right into their trap showing the world the rioting, burning and violence. What worse PR can Islam have with footage of the burning and rioting and newspaper articles about those planned assassinations.......

What you say is true... This is BAD PR.
Pick up any newspaper, and you'll find pictures of Taliban or Pakistani militants, touting guns and RPGs, and the caption reads "Islamic Terrorists"...

I just hate to see all this..................................................................

Islam has never been a true organisation, never showed any organisational skills. Just look at the Arab League, those fools can't even agree amongst themselves, and they call themselves Muslims. And these people have not even been elected.

People in the West believe whatever the MSM shows them. These people are still voting for Romney and Huckabee, even though these people have jumped out of the race. So you can't really blame them for this perception of Islam.

I don't really know what to say... I don't like danish newspapers, but I'm sure most Danes must be good people. It is just that they have never experienced multi-culturalism, and their media people are extremely disrespectful to other cultures.

Its so hard to talk with many "intelligent wannabe" in here... I dont see why some of you who are not knowing Islam deeply is telling something based on your intelligence capacity in your environment.. Thats terrible and you must feel ashamed of yourself..

Its stated that it is insulting when you are trying to appear our beloved prophet images and same goes to alcohol that we are forbidden to have it.. Its simple and people is keep trying to make it a legal one..

Im not good in writing in english and i believe my vocabulary wasnt that good but do respect our muslim people and dont judge all the crime by telling islam is the main factor it was happened.. Our religion doesnt expect any war but we are ready for it if people is trying to fool around with our believe..

I never had any problems with any religious follower and they do respect me as well.. We are seeing each other, having some fun and also free to talk but we are not trying to humiliate ourselves in believe.. We can keep live peacefully and once you realized how good it was, than you know why im saying all this..

I will give respect to those who earn it. Killing people for their belief shows a complete lack of respect.

You see, where I come from people can have any religion they choose, some crazier than others, some people won't even accept that their religion is a religion and call it science. But we don't kill each other for those beliefs.
