    50% of my links coming from forums, blogs, and articles so there is no problem with directories... and I'm still continuing doing it daily... forums, blogs, social bookmarking sites, free ads, etc..

    Directory still work for my site specially at my sub pages using deep link for back links. Just choose right category for your site.

    I wouldnt worry about 320...I can't believe that after doing this you would want to do this for other people as a service...I would go mad

    Reading through the repies there seems to be a mixed bag about the benefits of directory backlinks.

    I started searching for directory submissions after reading in another post that they hold more weight than signature backlinks, yet these posts almost suggest otherwise.

    Very confused, do invest in directory backlinks or not??

    Funky, invest for price they usually go (0.1 per submission and lower) they well worth it. At least you'll have more mixed link profile of your website, it's always good. In other way if that will be last money in the pocket - go for other ways.
