I just downloaded firefox and I don't like it! What do you like about it?

    Firefox is maybe, a bit faster but, my explorer is not slow, and firefox has a crappy looking font and it makes my site look different in a bad way.

    Firefox shows tables that I coded to be invisible and it shows a ugly blue border around my logo that I coded not to show also!

    What's the big deal about it that so many people say they like it?

    What do you like about it? :confused:

    you can change font for any browser though

    as for me I nromally use firefox and opera same time for seperate sites (personal vs business)
    and occasonally IE

    what I like about FF i fast loads for me and I like control of it better than IE options.

    give us examples. By default, firefox shows a border on images. Use CSS to remove it.

    As for why I use FF -

    Its safer - apparently;
    It loads pages faster;
    Its got loads of cool plugins;
    As a web developer, there are some great extensions like FireBug;
    You can use different themes.

    I love FF, its extremely fast compared to other browsers.. right now I only use IE to make sites compatible.
    I think you should make sure your site works in FF, so many people use it and if it makes your site look ugly you should make sure it appears right in FF or you might lose a lot of traffic.

    I like the awesome plugins and the fact you can change it to your own theme so it's more personalized.

    I hated it in the beginning though, but after a few days I got used to it. Now I can't use any other browser. Fact.

    Well I mean there are always tweaks creating a site so that it looks good in multiple browsers.
    Yeah, it's not the prettiest, but IE is rapidly declining in use because it's so slow, clumsy and crashes all the time. I highly prefer Firefox.

    As for the coding, I've made coding on a site that looks great in Firefox but terrible in IE, you've just got to tweak your code to look make it look good in both browsers, especially with the growth of usage of Firefox.

    We have an unbeliever here :eek:

    FF has loads of plugins/addons you can tweak the settings in about:config.

    And its popularity is steadily growing.

    I am addicted to Firefox...

    Actually, Firefox can be enhanced by using extensions that are readily available. And Google is integrated into the address bar, which is a BIG help. FF doesn't crash like IE, and it has a progress taskbar, unlike Opera.

    hhhmmm, everything is powerfull in FF. As a developer, i have to test crossbrowser compatibility and work with IE, but FF rules all the way. Need CSS? Got it. Need safer browsing? Got it.

    To tell you the truth, i wonder how a DP fellow still uses IE ?!?!?!?! Shame on you! :D

    May want to actually know a program before making inaccurate comments about it. The Progress bar in Opera is by default next to the address bar.
    You also have the options such as:

    I use firefox for my daily browse.
    But sometimes I do rely on those who use IE as well, since they can detect any bugs on my websites. :)
