Need some bloggers opinions on design changes.

For a long time, everyone kept saying that my blog was too dark. I actually liked, and still like, the black back ground, but I caved, and changed it.

So I would like some opinions from Bloggers on how it looks, functionality, readability, content, theme (hack), and what ever you can contribute to help me make this "really" ready for prime time.

I like what you got going on! Great theme. It is a bit wide for my laptop but no too much. Only thing is after a few cold ones I can't seem to focus on one specific thing on your blog,m because so much is going on.

But don't take it from me I hate all that Hollywood/Hip Hop crap. Those people are the scum of the world as far as I am concerned.

 

Good thing my blog is about Dance Music and Clubbing.
The words "hip", nor "hop" will never make an appearance on this site.
It is a completely unrelated subject matter.

I think its great really. I like the drop down navigation you got. You using a plugin for that?

 

The right hand side of the header above the links of the store, about is blank et cetera. Is there any reason why to this, just out of curiousity?

 

Thanks, the drop down menu is built into the theme. I could never find one that worked well, so I found a theme that already had it. I hacked this theme.

I'm not sure I know what part you are talking about. The about page is not blank.

The area to the right of your banner/logo of "124 beats per minute" the field is blank. Is there any reason why you didnt extend it the full length or just half of the page?

 

There is another photo there. Actually an illustration.
Is it not showing up for you?
What browser are you using. I checked it in both IE and Firefox.

Is it empty for anyone else?

I really like this site design. Sadly I didn't see the older dark version, but nevertheless I this this new theme you have. I think having the black matting around the edges gives it that sleek look.

The only issue I have is in your header. You have those two great images and your subscribe bar, but there is white space between them. If you could but those two images up against each other, and stretch your subscribe bar to the edge of that shop image, it would look very put together.

Interesting. Other opinions have suggested just the opposite. I like it that way also.
