any eBook that says no need for original content, i would not even bother to read it. original content is the key, otherwise there would not be any such thing called duplicate content penalty

 

I second that. Though, I've never done it, a couple of my competitors do it and are yet to be penalised by google. They do it in such a way that google has not been able to identify the fact that they are using duplicate content. One of them has been doing it for more than a year now.

 

I have seen people just copying the contents and rewriting the same with out getting detected and / or penalized.

 

This seems wrong because you are making money from someone else's content.

Ok I am so trying not to laugh or mock the OP. Original content does matter. Especially of all those who try to duplicate it in various ways. There are keywords and phrases that lead back to the culprit or seller or blogger or webmaster. You can copy and paste. But how many times does a niche site needs to be replicated. All niche sites with duplicate content die out eventually. Leaving the people buying into the tiered program with nothing. Even in their bank accounts.

To what? The OP's post, others post in this thread or mine. If you oppose. State to who's post and why. Otherwise you are leaving a post dangerous for a report to a mod for non sufficient or non relevant posting for a way to up your post count.

What benefit do they get if you simply use copied-from-wiki content ? Nothing, and they wouldn't bother coming back to your site again.

 

well, i completely agree steeling content is wrong, i have not and will never do it! but i think many people do and get away with it... i also think it doesn't harm TOO much, if one gives credit, at least that content is being used and people are reading it... also i dont think anyone is that stupid to copy wikipedia

 

You always need original content.
That will separate your site from all the others, so make sure you have as much genuine content as possible
