it isn't his fault programs have been getting bloated

It's funny how people keep saying to just buy a new Vista Capable PC when there is a lawsuit about it right now:
Microsoft's own executives said that they were confused by what the wording "Vista capable" meant in those e-mails and had gotten burned themselves by it.

Yeah, but why spend hard earned money on a new system when the system that you have right now works so well.

Maybe it doesn't work as well as you think.

Again - bullshit. It actually appears to only be fine on a handful of mediocre new computers where the user doesn't actually use it to it's full capacity.

If it does the job you require fast and efficient then it is doing the job very well. Not only that but it saved you a lot of money.

I guess your very lucky since hardware/software compatibility seems to be the issue with most of the complaints with Vista.

I, myself am using Vista, no problems. It's only that people see a new interface & panic.

Just because you currently don't have problems doesn't mean it's not a bad OS. The main issue is with compatibility, drivers, too many versions, mislabeled vista compatible PC's, etc..

Vista is a failure no matter how you look at it. After using Vista at work, I see no reason in upgrading from XP.

You are the first person in this tread that uses Vista at work. In my work we still use XP.

Tells us something Vista can do that XP can't. I'm serious, if were going to spend our hard earned cash on Vista we would like to know what we gain from it.

Vista is awesome....you guys are just running it on a win98 pc =/
You just need the right specifications which are just a little higher than XP.
I love it, it NEVER crashes which my xp does!
I can play games normal, counterstrike source, guild wars, bf2142 etc..
So I don't know why you are all complaining.
The features aren't better than XP but they enhanced it and stuff.

When vista was out, I wanted to use it never because of all people complaining.
But now using it, it rocks.
