Havent touched photoshop, only 3dsmax and vray renderer.

 

Great work! As a guitar player, the only thing that i see missing is the cutout for the neck.

 

Yes modernchaos, I wanted that.
I am also a guitar player; thats why I made the concept revolving around a guitar

 

wow is it me or do i see a chessboard reflection in the guitar? if thats so, i guess considering the direction of light the only possible place for the chessboard to be would be upside down over the guitar levitating 8|

looks pretty good, but i don't know, the texture on the guittar looks kinda unreal .

 

That's pretty nice modeling. Work on the texturing and the lighting to really kick it up a notch. Nice work though.

 

One criticism - the left side of the background is pretty dark, like the body of the guitar. If you lighten it the guitar will pop out more.

Any plans to do a '73 telecaster (all black)?

I have a 73 tele. Something like that would be a great screen saver or background for my mac.
