I used that about 5 years ago... But, I think, it's still used my many people. Because, it's the 4th most downloaded program on Download.com

I use IRC (MIRC is a program that connects to an IRC network) to get onto irc.freenode.net all the time. Best place for help out there really.

I still use ICQ for business...

I want to be able to communicate using whatever program a publisher prefers. Some prefer Y!, Some prefer MSN, Some prefer AIM ...and some prefer ICQ.

I remember using ICQ in 1999...wow nearly 10 years ago. Havent used for 7-8 years now. Now my kids use MSN all the time, I dont really use an instant message - would probably use skype if I had the need.

I never used ICQ but I still use IRC to this day. Not for file-sharing but to keep in touch with some friends from my old Diablo II gaming days :).
