I have just started a new campaign. Made money most days, except yesterday I had the same amount of clicks no sales. What could this mean, I have been averageing about 5-7 sales a day for the past 6 days. What could have happened I didn't change anything except I took out Country Canada and Outlying U.S
1 day is not a trend. Neither is 6. There will always be ups and downs - look for long term trends as you acquire more data.
I agree with the GuyFromChicago. The best thing you can do is track trends by the day if not hour over a couple of week period. Weather, economic news, other news events, holidays etc can all play into your traffic depending on your segment. Just when we think we've got a finger on traffic it totally changes. Also - perhaps in your case a competitor is now sniping at some of the keywords you were using?
check your server log or analytics. is your content network and search network on? sometimes you might get a ton of traffic from search partners which are nothing but bots with 100% bounce rate.
The first two responses are totally correct. You really can't worry about one day being off. If I worried about one day being off I would go crazy. There are days when my ads make me up to $1,000 and there are days when it's below $100. It's going to fluctuate like that from time to time. More times than others with different niches.
Try to focus on a general budget as apposed to daily activity. Have a sum of money allocated for your adwords and give it some time. You'll notcie trends and then you can base your future campaigns off of what you've learned.
Thanks again, If I turn off the Content network, I don't get many clicks at all. What exactly is content network for?

Many adsense users are abusing the content networks,so you probably lost money in the content networks. I have bad experience in the content network. I run the campaign 1 month included the content networks and I spent totally $789.50,average cpc is $1.25,and 85% are went to content network.CTR just 0.07%.I loss $680. Another month I run the campaign without content network as well as search partner, purely google, average cpc same and CTR is about 7.9% and spent $367.25.I got around $500 profit. Now I just run without content network and gain sales. That's why I advice not go for content network. p/s:Admin,if you think this is not appropriate post, thanks again for the infarction.
From my experience, content networks works great for putting new product in the market, and, very important, run researches. I can advice you, to use it very very properly, like the GuyfromChicago mentioned, and be very specific, exactly when you use your other ads and campaign, be specific as you can, choose your target websites, run for 2-3 days and than make the changes. Cheers,
I use the content network, but I keep the CPC at about half of what I use for the search network. It doesn't seem to do as well as search, but it does have a positive effect as long as the cost is kept very low.
