The guy hosting me was my friend. I asked him for help and I think he blocked me...Now I don't know what to do
cPanel has a built in lost-password form if you set a "contact" email within your cpanel "portal" thing I suppose. If it's your friend and they blocked you, and you have no access to your files you really have no options except to stop making the payments, or if the sites have a high dollar value, you could try sending a legal notice. It would be optimal if he would just live up to his end of the bargain and save you all the trouble though. What a horrible situation. I've always refused hosting offers from friends for that very reason, sour friendships and webfiles don't mix. Best of luck =(.
I don't know if I should press charges or not. On msn he is always 'cell phone' online but never normelly now for some reason. I just checked the site that he used to own for web hosting and its no longer on that topic anymore. Does anyone think I could win if I sued him for like $700.. 1. Him and his company are giving me little or no support. 2. I am having a lot of downtime because of this. 3. If I do decide to switch to a new hosting company I would have to upload a backup which is a few weeks old...this means I lose like 40 members. 4. I would have to pay for new hosting.....
It wouldn't be worth it if your case is for $700. If you can show loss of business and damages directly caused by him and go after him for $5,000 it might be worth you while.
