Hi, I have a VPS at Asmallorange but it is no longer usable, they used to be great but now their service is shocking. The server keeps going down, I cannot access my control panel and the excuse/reasons I am given make me believe that they really don't care much for my business, (they don't actually give me a reason for the problems, they just tell me that it is ok now when it clearly is not fixed). I am guessing that they are loading the box with too many sites. So, What I need is 10G minimum disk space. cPanel to control my account. I don't need a massive amount of bandwidth, (if I could access my account I would tell you). I need to be able to expand the drive space every so often. Good, support, (I don't expect them to fall over, but at least not to treat me like a technical moron). Paypal would be great. If they could copy my current 10Gb from ASO to the new server that would be great. So all I would need to do is copy the db and change the name servers. Do you guys know of a reliable service that would offer something like that? Thanks FFMG

I personally use www.creativevps.com and I'm sorta happy my servers been down a few times the 4 months I've been with them, and the support has been a little slow, but that's understandable since I've always emailed them when it's been around 4am there tim but overall I'm happy with them they are always improving, and all of my sites have been fast (and I have a few "big" proxies on the VPS's)
oh, I also used to use www.powervps.com great servers, great support, great people! it's a little pricey (imo) but its worth it

ya know. ASO changed their password policy recently to disallow dictionary words in your cpanel password ... without telling their customers. Then, regular FTP stopped working the other day ... only SFTP. Is ASO turning into 1and1? (Hope not - sh!t would have to get really bad to suck as much as 1and1.)
Variable disk space would be difficult to accommodate since VPS are usually pre-configured (at least ours are). Of course you can always upgrade, although upgrades might include other resources which you don't need. In addition, cpanel costs and uses quite a bit of resources. No, that's not it, it just times out. There is so much load on the server that I cannot even get into my cPanel. When I ask them what is going on they either tell me that there was a problem with another account or they try to blame me, (well they suggest that it must be my fault without telling me what could be wrong). They don't offer any solutions, excuse or ways of solving the problem. It's funny, but I left 1and1 because ASO looked more flexible, (they allow .htacess, more than one database, cPanel), but in the end it's their attitude that is shocking. I still have one site with 1and1, and it has not been down for 3 years now, not once!, with ASO i have to restart my VPS daily, (but because the problem is on their side it does not really help). To them, there is nothing wrong with a site been down for 8 hours at a time. They don't care, they are not sorry, it's none of their business. FFMG

We can do data migration for you. It might takes sometimes, but it's doable. However, can you open to DirectAdmin? Or just cPanel? DA is using much less memory than cPanel, so you can save memory for your sites, not for control panel itself
