Will Obama have a problem with his name?

We do not often hear people mentioning Obamas full name which is Barack Hussein Obama.

As some Americans are not very bright do you think that his surname sounding a lot like Osama (bin Laden) and his middle name being Hussein (Saddam) some Americans might think that he is in some way related to these boogeymen and not vote for him, should he get the Democratic nomination? :p

I think the only hope is that he dies before the election mate.

I don't wish death on anyone but he is advocating the deaths of hundreds more American soldiers (and thousands more innocent Iraqi civvilians) with his insane attitude on this fake Iraq "war" so if there really is a God it would be justified in my opinion if it were to happen. :D

I think it may give people an excuse not to vote for him, but its not like they were going to vote for him in the first place.

A year ago I would have said that yes, his name would be a liability. I no longer think it will, because in recent months we have seen a backlash against anyone trying to play his name against him. When a radio host at a McCain rally used Obama's full name (including "Hussein") he was ridiculed by the press and McCain even apologized and said it wouldn't happen again (the radio host was not too pleased with this apology). For once, the media has decided that it will not tolerate a "non-issue" such as this during the campaign, and they are ready to pounce on anyone who does.

Although Obama doesn't hide his middle name, he also doesn't regularly use it. I don't care for my middle name either, and I would prefer people not include it when saying my name. There's no reason to use Barack Obama's middle name other than to drum up intolerance. The radio host claimed there was nothing wrong with saying Barack Obama's full name, because it is his real name. That's BS, and he knows it's BS. He knows exactly why he used that name, and it wasn't because he wanted to be specific about which Barack Obama he was talking about. How many times has anyone in the media said John McCain's middle name? It happens to be Sidney (I had to look it up). I hope that radio host uses the name John Sidney McCain for the rest of this campaign.

Yes we are. And I think you meant 'stupid'. Look at the numbers who chose McCain and Clinton.

I'd love to see Bloomberg as his running mate.

One problem with that is that Bloomberg is apparently a close friend of McCain...

"A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet"

Even if his name was "Barack hitler nazi bin laden zombie obama", it wouldn't be an issue.
I think most people judge other people by character not by their middle name.
