You can't say one damn thing bad about Hamas without blaming American or Israel in the same breath.

Try honesty for one post. You might find peace is a lot easier to come by when you start with an honest position.

p.s. If you want others to stop what you call "chicken egg" then you need to stop too. You are doing it by blaming Israel and America for modern day Hamas. Hamas is what it is. But you keep blaming America and Israel instead of just agreeing they are evil and should be eliminated by all parties.

    i blamed all three for hamas mistake {not good very very bad mistake}
also i hope that you know we are talking about the most recent election
beside i think a pece accord will be the end of most radicals so my idea will defeat hamas or at least change them.

Because the palestinians chose a terrorist organization (hamas) as their government and are now forced to pay the price for their bad decision.

i hate to repeat myself but we made them do it

at the time US and Israel were saying that they can not deal with fatah because they are crooks and forced the palestanians to include hamas in their election.
it seems that they did as they were told

Please tell me how the Palestinians were forced to elect Hamas?

Who exactly told them to vote for Hamas?

The Palestinians have consistently been encouraged to do the opposite.
The US in no way encouraged the Palestinians to vote for Hamas, a terrorist organization according to the US.

I recommend Holidays in Isreal near the border to Gaza and then talk again. Watch the attitude and reaction from both sides there and you'll be surprised. Most of the people tend to know everything and verbally spray all that nonsense like Gworld and others. Go there and see by yourself.

Want a solution? - You need to face the disease.

Do you have a source for this supposed instruction to the palestanians to vote a terrorist group into power or is this just another theory?

What i find funny is that, if you have no demoracy, it is a valid reason to some for your country to be invaded. Then again if you have democracy, you still can be invaded or embargo'd(?) etc. for the reason of electing terrorists by the same some. So it's officialy not about democracy or freedom, but it's about having a pro-some ruler. If you have it, it does not matter if he/she gained power through elections or brute force, you will be fine, if you don't have it, it doesn't matter you have democracy or not, you'll suffer, and we will call this global justice.

I wonder, if there was a global survey today, asking opinions about which they call more of a terrorist, the some administration, or the "terrorist government", and no voting rights for those who are part of the problem, i'm sure some would receive more percent of votes than that of he/she received to get elected in the office. There is no rule, no law, no standard, no morals here, as long as it is all about who has a better military, there will be no solution till one side is completely cleansed from the face of the earth.

As 1 great American philosopher once said, repeat this:

    Because I'm Bad, I'm Bad-Come On
    (Bad Bad-Really, Really Bad)
You Know I'm Bad, I'm Bad-You Know It
    (Bad Bad-Really, Really Bad)
And The Whole World Has To
    Answer Right Now
Just To Tell You Once Again,
    Who's Bad . . .

Actually, the settlements(which are illegal) kept going on and this also inflamed the problem. Many isrealis think of these settlers as super extremists(even members of the right wing likud). You know what i wish we could do on DP? Get a debate going. I mean an intellectual debate without mudd-slinging from both sides to truely understand what both sides want and whats been offered by each side.
Are there any people that are willing to take this on , on the basis of pure facts and not speculation and name calling?

Toopac I can't blame you, you're basically me about 10 months ago. If you are wise enough, you will find that no government is going to actually combat terrorism. It's all a distraction man, I hope you figure that out. You should rethink everything that the media and politicians spoon feed you, because you're getting the same thing as everyone else. Do you think you're special?

Do you not think that perhaps there is a higher order in this world, a figurative upper and lower class, you know, as there always has been throughout history?

History repeats itself, does it not? Or did that whole thing just disappear?

Right, and if I have a quarrel with you, I will go and punch your mother in the stomach. Makes sense, right?

Israel has a bad record on dealing with Palestinian camps in Gaza. A very bad record.

Don't deign to speak for me, you're neither capable of qualified.

I don't believe terrorism is an effective tactic. I don't think terrorism has ever yielded productive political results. I shouldn't have to say that.

I think that Israel keeps the conflict going because it's a military state, and the foreign aid keeps trickling in as long as Israel is perceived to be in trouble. Your "canary in a coalmine" condition. Hamas may be doing the same to perpetuate it's existence. Either way, neither side is about peace or a solution.

But let's not kid ourselves. Israel has a long history of generating collateral damage, or outright attacking civilian settlements, just as Hamas does. In fact, Israel's record precedes the existence of Hamas.

No, I am not neutral. I side with peace. Neither of these two factions does. No, I am not merely advocating that we mind our own business, and stop supporting one terrorist over another. I'm suggesting that maybe it is time to take a side. To stop siding with either of these groups and stand up, maybe even get active, on behalf of peace.

Right, because if you don't support Israel, then you must support Hamas, correct?

That conclusion is in the same style as "if you don't support Israel, you hate Jews". It's total nonsense and dumbs down the conversation.

    (1) I don't think Israeli policy or military leaders care.
    (2) I don't think Israeli policy or military leaders care.
    (3) Tricky question. If we suppose that the mlitary industrial complex of Israel is the health of the state, then...
    (4) I don't think Israeli policy or military leaders care.

Dude, you cry about Hamas being elected terrorists, when meanwhile, Ariel Sharon, the "Butcher of Beirut" was elected to lead Israel.

Terrorist by whose standard? The Israelis have committed a lot of acts of terrorism against the Palestinians as well.

Fantastic post and completely true. Ahmadinejad is the boogie man in the ME, but he's elected, and may not be re-elected. So what happens then? The next Iranian leader automatically becomes the boogie man, and Ahmadinejad retires to the bad guy hall of fame?

It doesn't take a very big mind to imagine more than 2 approaches.

A little something for you to strive for this week...

I can't imagine myself being brainwashed by next Christmas & believing everything is a conspiracy etc

It was you that thought contrails are chemtrails?

It takes an even smaller mind to absolve terrorists of their crimes & to think by ignoring them they will go away

Or are some actually hoping that terrorists achieve their goals & have the freedom & impunity to do as they wish, remind you of anyone?

Well, you're up to 3 approaches now. Kudos to you Toopac! This is a big day for mankind. You've finally exercised critical thinking on a public forum!

Most of your posts remind me of chickenhawks. People who talk tough, and beg for war and killing, but lower their heads and become perfectly silent when it is time for action.

If you are so anti-terror, why don't you grab a gun and go fight it? Or is it someone else's job to fight and defend you?

It must be easy for you to recommend other people to risk their lives when you are not willing to do so yourself. Cowardice.

Supporters of Hamas/Haters of Israel seem to happily ignore hard news reports from witnesses, reported in the news from June 2007.

This is the Hamas they support. They don't confront these issues.

Any nation surrounded and confronted by terrorists of this sort must be extreme in its protection. Clearly the terrorists have no hesitation in using the most brutal form of murder on their own people.

Only haters of Israel and haters of Jews could condone such actions. Frankly, people who condone this type of action hate society.

btw, Israel has now had long term peace pacts with Jordan and Egypt. If a people want to make a peace with Israel it is there to be had.

Of course the murderers who where hoods on their heads while stripping their own people naked and shooting them in a public spectacle of humiliation are not the types that want peace.

btw, Pizzaman: It has been reported in a number of newscasts that Israel certainly didn't want elections and neither did Abbas. It seems Bush was the major proponent of elections in the Middle East.

and Guerilla: I can understand why you didn't want to copy this news description of Hamas at its best. It is hard for even a shill like yourself to have the smallest grain of self respect when this is the group you like to support.

For someone who wants no powers whatsoever for the US govt. its amazing that you have undying support for the hooded terrrorists that strip and shoot their own people. I guess that is where your allegiances lie.

    I support Hamas how?

    Excellent strawman Earl.

Now, explain again how you rationalize your taxes being used to subsidize the Saudis, Al Queda, Shia militants, Israelis, Egyptians et al. You are the one who endorses the state, you are the one who argues for taxation and government intervention.

Care to explain why you knowingly and deliberately contribute to these factions?

I'm not a willing sponsor of terror, but you are.

"beg for war and killing" are you on drugs seriously? i believe that is the sorts you support.

If your so into running America into the ground then why don't you run for president? then you could run it into the ground, save terrorists from torture & stop funding those jews;)

Probably this is what is wrong with you "Cowardice", this may be why you don't support your government fighting against those that want to kill innocents? or do you really just want a fair shake for terrorists?

    :D
