Refunds way up

I have had more refunds in the last 3 days than I normally do in 3 weeks.

I average around $700 - $800/day in sales so I am used to getting returns. I usually see about $50/day in returns.

The last 3 days have been unreal. $200, $250 and $250 again today (so far)

Has anyone else seen a spike in returns? One of my products that I promote had only 1 return out of 53 sales. Then 7 in one day and 5 more the next day.

I am sure it is a fluke but it is hard not to be concerned.

*shrug* I haven't had a return in several months. I still remain under 1%.

I don't think a spike in returns is the result of something Clickbank does. I mean, they can't say, "Let's process more returns this month." I suspect it's more likely related to the product's ability to produce customer satisfaction. Or, perhaps, it's related to the publisher's website (going down, etc).

You numbers do show an unusually sharp increase... but I don't see how Clickbank could/would have any control over it.

Yeah I agree. I dont think clickbank has anything to do with it. I guess I was more venting than anything else.

That's the reasons why I'm very strict on the which product I promote.

Even though Clickbank is a favorite among affiliates, it does contain a huge amount of crappy products that are practically worthless to consumers.

Yes this happened to me too. I usally get no refunds on one product i promote
usually around 1 a month but then one day I had three refunds at once. It was
    insane.

But is it true that clickbank changed their refund time if this is true this might be the problem.

I have tried all of them clickbank cj and linkshare. The only one I use and trust now is SFI (Strong Future International)

Ya, lately refunds been up. I usually don't mind refunds from time to time as it's part of any business, but It gets me when I go out of my way writing an hour of emails to 1 customer, and offering tons of extra's to close the sale just to see a refund a few days later

You can't expect to never have any refunds. That's life. If people pay for something and aren't satisfied, what do you expect? They are people too, reguardless if we look at them as just another dollar.
