Banner ads is old school affiliate marketing. It still works though as the proof is here with Trypp. I'm just not a fan of the cpm model. I'd rather pay per click, but if cpm is profitable for you, then by all means. I tend to rotate at least two offers on email or zip submits, so even if one goes down, I'm not completely lost until I can find a replacement offer. I've got a nice little rotator script I use for this.
Great Idea with the rotator script. I have noticed that there are multiple zip offers for the same products so that could work out nice . You also get to test to see which is preforming better giving you insight on what to look for when choosing a zip offer. Quick question though, I'm guessing you guys doing zip/email offers just redirect the users to the offer page. I would assume a landing page in this case is just one extra step that will lower conversions. is this a fare assumption?
Not really, my conversions actually increase with a landing page in most cases. You need to test to find out.
Indeed. Please teach me. Anyone, actually. Please. Refer to my first post here and see that I have already built some knowledge, and already been training my skills for years, only I am just now realizing there is money in this; I have spent the past two weeks reading non-stop. In fact, I could die soon of some sort of organ shut down. If I stop posting, that happened, or I jumped. Cheers and Good Luck to Anyone to takes the time to read and consider my post: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=749839
Earnings aside, you made a great point that I want to test. Google has cleaned up the content network. I've seen recent evidence of this as well.
Props to you man,, very motivational.. Hope you continue to rock in the rev.. I'm getting jitters just read this thread.
Plus with the new addition to the scrolling ads in adsense, Maybe people will use that more and find your ads to click. Let's all hope.
I know it's an old thread, but I would like to know more about zip/email submit. I never tried it before and I would like to give it a shot. I am currently a CJ publisher, so I was wondering if they have such offers, and if so how you find them?
PPC is a joke...Someone spends $950 in ads and makes $1000. Then they tell everyone they had a $1000 day. Give me a break. I greatly prefer adsense and clickbank. Excellent residual income for your efforts.
The fact that you don't know how to make money with PPC does not mean others can't either. Also, Adsense or Affiliate marketing etc is not a matter of "preference". People don't really care about what you prefer, like or dislike. It just depends on what kind of marketing you're more comfortable with, how you market your sites/affiliate offers, what industries/niches you work with etc... Also, if you know what ROI stands for... and I expect you to know! you should have a look at some other threads started by PPC who says he aims at a 100% minimum ROI, not a 5% one
1. How much of the $16k in the screenshot is profit? 2. Do you use image ads or text ads in the content network?
"It is possible and I believe anyone can do it if they put in the work." Indeed. I think affiliate marketing is like the American dream. Everyone has a very fair chance to succeed. But noone says it won't take a ton of sweat, tears and blood.
Funny how Google loves you buying ads from them to direct you to another paying company (think they call it arbitrage) but if you send paid third party traffic to a google adsense site it is against their terms and conditions. Google seems to have a double standard. Just a point as think your revenue numbers are legit and awesome...Congrats...hope you continue to grow those numbers.
