How to get higher paying ads to show up

    hi guys

    i have a popular environmental site which gets 1000-1200 visitors/day and about 40-50 clicks/day...but my ads that are showing up have a CPM of 0.25-0.99.....PEANUTS!!

    What can i do to make higher paying ads show up? Correct me if im wrong, but isnt the ads controled by what content is on the page? if so, cant I just add a bunch of high paying keywords in my niche to the page to make higher paying ads show up? like Environmental Law for example?

    your ideas please!!

    Get Google's adsense preview tool and use the competitive ad filter to block out cheap ads.

    Yeah, while the temptation to target big paying keywords for your ads is tempting, if you're ads are not related to the content of your site, you probably won't get many clicks anyway. (and this is against G TOS) If you have a lower paying niche, then your best bet is to go for an increase in traffic (or a site that's in a higher paying niche). Good luck.

    Edit out irrelevant words and keep testing until the ads start paying better

    A lot of times you will not get banned for keyword manipulation because Adsense has gotten better at finding relevant content from your pages content so really can't manipulate per say because it is going to take from your content you have written.

    What are these high paying keywords? And is there really any way for google to find if you are manipulating them?
