I am using Bid for Position on phpLD Version 2.12. My domain is www.urllinking.com.

I am the 1st user of this script. Now, I want to upgrade this script. Can anyone tell me where I can get the upgrade script? is it available or not?

Looking forward for all of your cooperation.

I think you will get quick response for this at phplinkdirectory forums itself. Try to post this there IMO.

    DON.

    it's a stupid question,
you can find the latest information from where you download this script.
please take 3 seconds to think about it before starting a new post...

As deluxdon said, going to the place that sold you the software in the first place is always the best option unless they've actually told you to come over here and ask as there seems to be an awful lot of that happening lately.

Come on Jamie your allegiance is showing - phpLD has always provided excellent support and your comments alluding to anything else are getting tired.

As for the question - if you post on the phplinkdirectory forum the mods will assist you.

I simply don't understand, why do phplinkdirectory question come up here? Have they stopped supporting their products?

Why can't you take a min or two and goto their support and post the same? If no response or no such success then try other forums.

I wouldn't say its a stupid question but its a stupid approach.

Probably because it costs $10 to join the support forum... They would rather come here and post around for free advice.

It's either exactly what deebee said about the charge for support or the owner is pretty desperate and sending people over to ask in a cynical attempt to try and drum up custom. That isn't an accusation by the way it's an observation as their support even though you had to pay for it before was still there. Call it backdoor advertising if you like, they aren't blurting out 'come look at phpld' or anything but by posting constant reference to it they are keeping it in the public eye.

For me as a support guy for another script the last thing I'd want is loads of people coming over to other forums begging for support. Poor show phpld is all that can be said on that score.

They come here because this is a directory discussion area, phpLD is a directory script. If people need help with ANY directory script they can come here and ask.

They also know that some of the best programmers spend more time here than they do at the phpLD forum and that David used to be a very active member here and answered questions both here and on his own forum.

Jamie your constant jabs at other scripts is annoying and not doing your script any favors. It is probably having the opposite effect that your intending.

You don't see David over here on dp spamming everyones thread with little comments promoting phpld and undercutting phplynx do you? He (and the owner of phplinkbid) take a higher road than that and maybe you could learn something from him.

I would like to make one thing clear, I have nothing against David or phplinkdirectory or their mods or their support team.

I am against people who don't wanna have a look at their support forums, don't wanna pm their mods/support and expect all replies from here.

One can always approach other forums if he/she is dissatisfied with the response they get in a products support forum. Regarding their support forum charges, its best to discuss it with david if one cannot afford the cost.

You said it, it's a 'Discussion area' not a 'Support Area' . I'd say the same to people if they asked for support for phpLynx here, go to our forum as that is what it is for, this place is for discussion not to be taken up by support, but you very rarely see any other script allow this which makes you wonder if phpd is struggling?

I'm of the same mind as humm, I don't even know this David guy but if he offers a script he should offer support in 'HIS' shop not rely on others to his work while he and only he gains the benefit from this FREE labour, and certainly not on other forums.

That's possibly because no other script requires their customers to have to seek support elsewhere.

He was banned from here for alleged duplicate accounts I think centime, although it wasn't the case. I would have used the term, 'straight to the point' as opposed to "brutal", and whilst I didn't always like the way he posted I certainly admired his honesty and fortitude to challenge what he thought was wrong.

I plan on doing the same but won't make the mistake my predecessors made by raising to the bait of flaming. I won't back down on my opinions either, mine are as valid as anybody else's, whether right or wrong. I will always back my views up with facts though centime, and if in the event I get things wrong, (we're not all perfect) I'll gladly retract something.

I'll tell The Pheonix you send him your love and interests, perhaps nipping over to our forum you'll get the chance to ask yourself though. :)

Thought this needed refreshing as so many here seem to have missed it.

Sheesh people chill out already. Sounds like a perfectly acceptable question for these forums. The OP is looking for a programmer who built a bidding app on phpLD, not the phpLD script itself. Chances are good that programmer is a member of these forums.
