Thanks to all replies As for quality - I mean something similar to Aviva Directory - hight Alexa rank, many backlinkgs, quality design and a considerable age.
It all makes sense to me, all apart from the alexa rank, its too easy to blag it, not to be relied upon but the backlinks and all that are important i agree.

As the only indicator of quality Alexa rank is worthless, but a quality directory should have a good rank. If a directory has 100,000 backlinks, but Alexa rank is above 1,000,000 then there is something wrong with it.
