One of the newer sites i launched in last few weeks is already up to 33,000 visits (from analytics)/day thanks to help from our larger sites

anyways i noticed the adsense earning were absolutely terrible for a week 0.20$ ecpm (1$ ecpm average across all my sites mostly thanks to site targeting, this site is not site targeted at all yet) anyways i switched the codes from personal account to the business account and the ecpm more than doubled to 0.40$ for a day, now im after setting it back to personal and its around 0.16$ (terrible) so i think ill be sticking with the ad codes from the business account after these experiments as this more or less proves that the personal account is badly "smart priced" :(

Not sure how you are differentiating business from personal, Google doesn't let you choose, do they?

Can someone else confirm that? It's something new and doesn't make much sense to me.

when you sign up (well this was the case many many years ago i don't know about nowadays),

you tick whether its a personal or a corporate entity (it obviously has to be a real business otherwise good luck cashing cheques or receiving EFT)

i was surprised as well, same traffic but a huge difference in earnings on 2 days close to each other, i don't think i be doing anymore of these experiments its hurting my wallet

i dunno maybe the business account is more "trusted" as there are alot of advertisers site targeting ad spots on the older sites

Maybe it's not business vs personal, but it's the result of which particular other sites happen to be on each account.

are you allowed 2 accounts?
business and personal accounts have nothing to do with ad serving,pricing,share,ect...
it is mainly for tax purposes or what ever.

the adsence bot may be associated with the account, but i don't know.

yes a business is separate entity

i manage 3 accounts: personal, business (sole trader), business (limited company)

as i said I taught the same for many years i was a publisher but the money earned in my experiments say otherwise

if you have nothing useful to contribute ....
