$200 plus 50$ for site redesign ideas and Improvement - One Week contest

You have 1 week but can be extended for another week if we dont have the desired results. If we have a good response.

Im also a designer here in DP and my friend ask me a favor to open a contest for him. The payment was sent to my paypal account already to assure that you will get paid for this. Here's the username of my friend here in dp: johnhaya. He will also give feedback on your design. Thank you guys we're looking forward to see your designs.

You will win a prize of $200 for giving us an improved website look. Plus the $50 will given away to the person who gives good ideas for improving the inner pages of the side graphically. They dont have to be too detailed graphics.

We expect that we will get individual images so that we can insert those at a minimum cost and time to us.

We will need at least 3-4 animated graphics that we can use.

One of my customers told me that its too wordy and needs some goood graphics work. I am here for the best redesigned face of our website so that we can effectively convey our message to our site visitors.


We are not looking for a complete redesign. What we need is to work with what we have and improve it.

We are looking for improvement of the index page and some ideas on the improvement of the inner pages.

1. Header->menu will remain as it is. The red row on the top and the black row on under the header menu will remain as it is. We need to improve on the 5 icons across the logo. Logo will remain as it is. We will need an animated grpahic between the logo and 5 icons.

2. Left Menu will also remain as it is but the Boxes on the left under the menu and the boxes on the right needs a bit improvement. You are free to come up with your improved color ideas for the boxes on the left and right. They are too wordy at the time and needs to clearly convey our message to our customers. The text has to remain there but a background image or any other improvement is needed. I dont know how to explain this in technical terms. If you are not sure, please ask either here or PM me.

3. We will need some ideas on how to effectively improve the messages we have in the main body of the index page and how we can improve the inner pages...we are not looking for improving on every page but a few ideas on how to make them look less wordy and more effevtive would be great.

4. Bottom menu design will remain as it is. But for a better look, we would like a background image for the entire bottom menu row.

5. Empty space..There is alot of empty space between the bottom menu and the picture with two guys shaking hands. We will need to fill that space some how. I really cannot think on how to move content from the website pages and put it there. Your ideas would be great.

6. We can give you a good list of our competitors links only by PM for your review.

7. I really dont have any good concept of design and am looking for some good input and guidance here. My apologies for not being very clear. Before you guys get into the actual design work and spend your time on it, please ask me as much as you can think and give me more ideas to incorporate into the front page. I will check here twice a day to respond back to you guys.

This contest is from me. I requested Weblazer assistance for posting this because I am new here and probabyl wouldnt have received that much TRUST as Weblazer. He is an old timer and he has done some work for me before. I trust him and he trusts me. He is a contestant here himself for this improvement. We are looking for the best possible design outcome for our website and for our customers.

We know we have put some limits on the redesign. But we are sure there are no limits to your creativity. I am doing this because I really have no idea on how to improve on what we have.

IF you need any ideas about the type of industry and my competitors, please let me know and I will PM you a list. Please do not put any of the competitors or our link here.

Honestly, when looked in this thread I saw a page of writing so I just went back, I was too lazy to read all of that.

u want pictures that have something to do with ur pages?

 

i'll gave u al little bit idea. u might put in some 3D looks in your website coz yours doesn't look attractive. Then, make it a bright color, the page i mean. Not just plain. OKey? thas all what i can see. I dont know how to comment about it but u need a lot to do.

Yes, we are mailorderjapan. What we want to do is to improve on what we have and we are already doing. If you think you can come up with a good design and a good way to convey our message to the customers, plz come up with a design. You definitely could be the winner.
On a side note, I have lots of customers from Malaysia and my best friend is from KL as well.

I need two things to achieve with this.
1. Good look of the over design
2. Pictures that you guys come with, so we can insert them with minimum effort.

Feedback...It seems like I have very poorly explained what I really want to accomplish. If anyone has any questions, please ask them here and I will explain more. Before you spend your time on this, please let me know if you have any doubts regarding the project.
