Hey I was just looking for some constructive critisism about my site, mainly the header beacause it's really the only work ive done. Do you think it looks professional? I think it's a bit outdated, to be honest: the bevelling effect was all the rage in 1999, but nowadays most sites tend to avoid it. My suggestion would be to use larger images and get rid of the black space altogether--without a bevel.
Try to use the same font as the title of your blog entries, and swap the red to the blue in your head
The blue in the background combined with the red (image vertical separator lines) looks like it is not a good match, I would either loose the red and also try a different blue it is too eye catching, too neon like try to use a more professional blue or try to play with different colors for background.
Isnt the point to be eye catching? and those colors are the official KU colors... still think I should change them?
Most definitely, but in a positive "eye catching" way. See now that you removed the red separator lines from the images, I think it looks much better and professional. Now you could probably get away with using that blue ;-) .
I would suggest you to replace the blue in your header with the same color as that pink. Also change the font for yout title, use Tahoma or Trebuchet MS instead.
Ok finally got a banner thats, a little more boring, but get the point of the site across better and is a little more professional looking. Any more advice? thank you all who have comented , ive been trying to implement your advice.
