Can anyone figure out why my DP profile has gone from a PR3 to a PR0

 

I think he meant that hes not sure about the importance of pagerank, not hes association with kw's.

 

I use blogger and publish to my url, as of the last update the pr for my url (http://www.goodnightmoonfuton.com/blog/) dropped to zero, but the blogspot page (http://futonblog.blogspot.com) stayed at a pr2.

My question is, should the PR be transfered to my url or is it normal for the PR to stay at the first page?

I dont like this PR... I am dropping down every PR update and I am now on 3 from 6 last year and I am just getting more links all the time.
I dont understand why it is dropping. I didnt get raise in PR for none of my 20 sites in 1 year... only 1 went from PR1 to PR2 and thats it.

Also my SERPS dropped this weekend so I hope it is only weekend and not something worse.

 

It seems like many sites dropped. I was just about to buy Scanalert for a dealership I was working for and they're rank dropped to 3 but it's back to 7 now. It's 1600.00 a year but you get three links from them to your site.

I've come to realize that there just isn't such thing as a free directory anymore. All those sites rank dropped to alot of zeros. Remember when Matt Cutts recommended the Yahoo Directory ? It cost 300 a year (rip off) but I think they've been penalized because of Googles war on paid directories.

Anyone else know of any web directories with rank? Not DMOZ.....I think your either corrupt or closed.

 

£1600 for 3 links? Then you complain about paid links - somewhere I don't get your thoughtline.

Do you realise what a paid directory is? A paid directory is paying for the directory owners time/service to review your site and either accept or reject it, not to list sites. I'm sure 99% of paid directory owners - myself included - will have rejected a site even though it has paid. Common courtesy is to refund the customers money, but isn't mandatory.

Google has hit bidding links hard - mainly because you ARE bidding/paying for a link for traffic/PR/whatever reason, exclusively. Buying is buying. If you don't like being punished, then don't do it. When you are a kid and you see your friend being punished, do you follow him like a lemming to be punished too? Simple answer - no, you don't.

 

Whose complaining about paid links? They just don't do any good anymore. You sell links for SEO.....how many people actually use your site to look for a product or service? That's what search engines are for aren't they?

Good for those who's rank goes up, mine was pr4 and became pr3 when google updated their algorithms..

 

I agree with Arman.
I think Google has updated their algo. Some of my sites has decreased 1 level of PR. Even my SEOcontest2008 blog has down from 25 to 35 check point in a week.

 

My blog gained a PR3 from PR2.
DP backlinks were helpful to achieve that spot.

since google is searching inner pages.......

 

My site always have PR 3. I just hope it will get better in the 5- 6 in later this year.

get another shock from google, early this month my blog drop from PR4 to PR0, but couple minutes ago i check that my blog is climb back to PR2.

So, google PR update on bi-weekly basis?????

 

I was quite lucky
PR 0-3 for one and for the other PR 0-4
I would say not bad, as all I did was write quality content and install some seo plug ins

 

Lol.. Bi-weekly? I wish I wish! Don't think they did it before but hey there is always the first step to everything. I know I want a bi-weekly update lol.

I need to what exactly factors those effect PR relevant about my web?
1. ) I'm doing Web DIR so submit ton of web dirs .However it's not in the page of high PR like the main page.Is it help ?
2. ) I'm try to do Social book marking . Is it give me some benefits ?
3. ) SEO optimization about key word in the page
4. ) Google Indexing and sitemap ping when updated

I'm really novice.Which of my doing is wrong or useless to improve PR ? And give me other suggestions if possible.
