Not all the time... I bid mostly on keywords without 'ringtones' in it about 80% of the time. I can't tell you exactly what keywords I target when I bid on keywords, without totally giving away my secrets. What I can tell you though, is think VERY carefully, if you are looking for anything on the search engine (not just ringtones), what would be some of the keywords you would search for... Hope that helps a little bit Thanks for the love buddy! Yesterday on Saturday I did $3,998 on ringtones... I will rule the world someday. Muhuhahahahaha!!!
Typically I probably spend anywhere between 35-45% of my profits on expenses. When I hit $3K days, I've been spending about $1200-$1300 a day. Yeah... you gotta stick with what works! Wow... I feel like I'm being interrogated... I make two campaigns (1 devoted towards Search, 1 towards Content) and with the Search side of it, I will usually only use keywords that are related to 'ringtones'. On the content side, I will use that Google suggestion tool (or whatever it's called), pop in my main keyword, and then all the results I get, I will use that on Content. When I start on Search, I use BROAD MATCH, "PHRASE MATCH", and [EXACT MATCH]. I start my bidding high on the keywords (about $1-$1.25) and then remove the keywords that are too expensive... I probably do about 75% search, 25% content. LOL... I actually did give away my keywords to him, DLM... I'll even give it out to everyone else since I'm feeling nice... I bid on the following keywords: ringtones.... max bid of $25.00 free ringtones... max bid of $15.00 download ringtones... max bid of $13.00 No, but seriously, to those of you who don't know that the above keywords & numbers was a joke, please don't bid on those keywords... you will be BROKE!
I think it would have been quite funny seeing all the folks who burned through $5,000 in the first 10 minutes of their campaign using free ringtones... They probably would start "Kill the WebGenesis" or "WebGenesis IS SUCK" threads on here... Ouch!!!
Man, you are a nice guy. Okay, I have a question too, how much did you spent/lost initially while testing ringtones before it became profitable?
hi webgenesis! you're such a cute guy sharing some tips.. hehehe.. anyway, which site is the best to promote on ringtones that converts best? would you mind sharing with us?? tnx
I'm still going crazy dealing with bad conversions ratios. I had a great week and a half in mid Feb when I started. Where my conversion ratio was something like 11% leads/clicks conversion rate and suddenly the last 3 weeks its something like 5%, leaving me at break even. I've been going crazy building new landing pages, just doing content network, etc.... I just created a list of 15 things more things I can do to improve the ROI situation. From making my ads less enticing (sacrifice ad CTR, and maybe QS for better conversion on backend), to lowering my bids, to numerous changes on my landing page. Now Number 1 on my list is to join other affililiate networks to see if this conversion problem is just an azoogle thing. I'm a member of cj,neverblue, and pepperjam but I didn't like their offers or their offers had restrictions. Also for anyone doing their own conversion tracking, I just learned you can use the {creative} dynamic insertion in adwords... doh!... now I can track both keyword match types and ad copy.
You can try PrimaryAds. They have a Ringtone.com offer that converts well with Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile. They also have a pile of other ringtone offers that perform quite well.
I really don't believe I lost too much in the beginning... I had started in 2006 with Azoogle ringtones and did it halfheartedly for about 2 months and I think I earned about $700, but spent like $600... so I dropped it. I started again last fall with Copeac and was doing about $50-$150 a day with them, and again was doing it halfheartedly as I was focusing on other offers because I believed ringtones was too "saturated", so I could never make real money off of it. Then I switched to CPA Empire, because my A.M. there had talked me into switching over... and the rest I guess is history LOL... Oh I see you're trying to make me blush, aren't you! Right now I'm doing about 10-12% conversion rates on my good days with Flycell and about 7-9% on my bad days... Some people say Flycell sucks and to go after other ringtone offers, but I disagree. I believe if you have a good set of keywords and a creative marketing strategy, you will do good with any ringtone offer. A.J. baby, you're the only one I love!
You know what Altek... I was fixing on sending you all my LP & keyword information, until you said you were just kidding You're welcome a bunch... Now go my student, and MAKE SOME MONEY!
