This might get me banned, but there are at least 15 of us here that are or have been ripped off by this crook, so I want the community to know and be warned. Check out a new blog on it. Please leave your comments, I'm going to try to keep it updated - I have much more to post - at least he gave me that! Unfortunately my very first PayPal transaction was with this scam artist. He goes by both Abhishek Tripathi (real name) and Mukesh Guruchal. His Web sites include www.mediawick.com, www.abhishektripathi.com, and www.theseohut.com to name a few. I paid him $500 to begin the design and roll out of a blog I wanted. Deadline after deadline passed without any prototypes being posted. I then noticed that although I was dealing with Abhishek, my payment went to Mukesh - a quick search on this character yielded many fraud claims, a sample thread can be seen here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=538757&highlight=Mukesh+Guruchal&page=5 After I called him on it and filed a complaint with PayPal, he agreed to refund the money several times. Sadly, it became apparent that this was also not going to happen, so I elevated my PayPal complaint to a claim - although the phantom Mukesh has no funds in his account so it is to no avail (wonder what name he's using now?). I'm told that it will cost more than it's worth to get my money back, so I'm going the public service route instead and offering to help you not get duped by this duper. Did I mention that all three provided phone numbers have been disconnected? I'm happy to share the entire email trail with anyone that's interested (shoot me a PM if you'd like me to forward it to you) as evidence to this situation. I'm sure that Abhishek will respond to this with some excuse, Lord knows that he has enough of them - from the flu to his credit card company being closed (that was my favorite). But I have all of our conversations neatly bundled to clearly show that he stole $500 from me. I've learned some powerful lessons about dealing with people I don't know, so I guess I'm thankful to Abhishek that it only cost me $500 to do that. I was so excited to do this project and will most likely jump back on the horse after my wounds heal. I notice he has had no activity here since Feb. 9th - must be in hiding or probably using another name by now.
If hes ripped off that many people I don't see why he only has 1 negative iTrader If I had a project he could work on I would probablly see what he had
and according to the OP, he is the same person as http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=95037 how come these guys don't have any negative itrader??? if members are reluctant to use the negative feedback, there is no use of the itrader system. don't bother if you get 1 in return, have the courage to say the truth.
yes. see the link in the first post of this thread. the link is to a another thread by Shinoda.Mike and in that thread, Shinoda introduces himself as Mukesh Guruchal.
Yup, Mike and Abhishek are one in the same - I unfortunately didn't realize that until it was too late - I'm just trying to help others not get scammed like me and several others.
Yeesh. If you gave me that 500$, i'd atleast say thanks. If you're giving big payments, you should use escrow services or pay only after completion or something.
i personally have dealing with him that went smoothly but i know two others who bought those blog packages for $2000, its been over 6 months ago and he still hasn't delivered them and claims he will refund.
Well my experience with kid is.. He always promise but never made it happen. hmmm.. to esbdmb, Just move on with it.. Good karma is for good people and bad karma is always their for scammers.
It is probably because, people do not want to get a negative itrader in return. Actually, giving a -ve iTrader would be absolutely of NO help to the person who was cheated/lied to, but only, he would end up getting a -ve iTrader. So, people feel it is better to write off the issue... I understand, but it really feels BAD to get a -ve iTrader after getting 100 +ve ones, for no reason of yours... people who look at your iTrader do not understand that you have a -ve because you were "courageous". I myself got a neutral itrader from someone by mistake..he later gave me another +ve one, admitting his mistake...but the damage is done... I believe that this is no argument for this issue.. If only the mods/admin intervene can we have a perfect solution..
He once got 200bucks from me and took two months to give it back....he gave all the excuses in his life.
Sorry about your loss of $500. I would put this story on ripoffreport.com. They specialize in scams. The word will spread like crazy...
