Basically I searched around and can't find the answer to the following things. 1. When users are linked directly to the full image, how do I redirect to the page with ads? Also, the user should then be able to click the scaled image, which shows them the full sized image. 2. Is there anyway to change a full sized hot linked image to thumbnail? There are a lot of free scripts..image hosting scripts that do this... if you are using cpanel..you should have it their in fantastico.. Basically, I am not 100% sure if I understand your concern..
There are scripts out there that suppose this. The idea would be to do it such as this on a forum though: (url to page with image and ads)(thumb sized image)(/url to page with image and ads) Here is an example from imageshack:
But when they link this: http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/4570/logojl1.png It shows a page with no ads. This is what I'm trying to get past, by redirecting them to a page with ads.
I don't think it's a viable option. If that was happening, when you embed the image like this: it would show up with an error because the image would have HTML etc coded into it. Do understand what I mean? You could watermark images from free clients in a bid to gain some brand awareness or some more traffic, but other than that I don't think theres anything to do this.
If done correctly it shouldn't do that. There are plenty of image sites that do this. It is needed to get users to see ads, increasing profit.

Hello , I think i got what you are asking for. Basically its a script and has a show.php so if you want to show an image to your friends with ads then you use this link http://www.adultimagesite.com/show.php/4068_Sunset.jpg.html If you want to view full page without any ads then you use this http://www.adultimagesite.com/out.php/i4068_Sunset.jpg So as you can see , in order to put the ads on show.php you need to edit show.html and you can add advertisements! I understand you can link to the actual page with ads. What I want is when someone does a direct link to the full size image like this: http://femni.com/files/z37i7e3vqevgtu5qvtsr.gif It redirects to this page: http://femni.com/viewer.php?file=z37i7e3vqevgtu5qvtsr.gif From that page the user can click the image, which then allows the user to go to: http://femni.com/files/z37i7e3vqevgtu5qvtsr.gif
I already have this. I'm trying to get it so that when a user clicks on a DIRECT IMAGE LINK unless the referrer is the same as the site hosting it, it redirects to the scaled image page that has ads. None of the solutions presented yet have helped me do this. Yes, hot linking full size images will be disabled, oh well, that is what I would have done in the long run. If I can just get it so that when a person clicks my link to a full image it redirects to the page with ads, I can do the javascript resize.
