Today I just submitted my site to 320 directories manually!

I successfully submitted my site to 320 directories today...It's a hell of work but doing it manually have a big chance of getting listed..

This is the biggest manual submission I have never done in just one day and I'm thinking of offering a submission service in the future...

well there are a lot of directories everywhere... the main point is, how you build your link back..

Hehe, i could never spend 8 hours to do that work.
Usually i get tired after doing 10-15 directories.

 

but i dont think submitting so so many directories at the same time is not at all good. We need consistant link building for our site. I would recommend not to do this in future coz it will lead to getting doubt by google.

 

I am submitting daily for the maximum of 20...it's sunday so I have a lot of time... I never stop submitting to any available directories.

 

I dont agree with this. Submitting to 320 directories is not a problem. First, not all 320 links will be approved at once. Some dirs, when it comes to free submissions, takes anywhere from 1 day to 90 days to approve your link. Second, google wont index all 320 links at once. We the delay of accepting your link, you can add another 1 to 10 days before google or another search engines index your link.

I do not think building many links at once is a problem unless you
are trying to build thousands of links on a daily basis.

 

WoW, 320 directories a day really unbelievable...

I still think, that we need to submit the site 4-5 directories a day, because I'm worry if we submitted too much, the Big G will consider as Spamming ( just my 2 cents though here...)

Yes, it's really tiresome, but has a good result later on..my target actually is 20/day during weekdays..

 

If the 320 links were crawled the day after submission, a flag might be raised. Since we know that won't happen, you should be safe.

To be extra safe you should use a modified tactic. Most of us have many domains to promote right? How about you spread them out? Make it a daily task.

One thing to think about though is some of this directories are massive sites. Google my not be indexing your page. There are ways to help it though

And don't forget to use other link building tactics at the same time. You don't want all of your links coming from directories. Also, there has been much discussions of directory submission is worth the time anymore.

 

I don't know... this seems like more work than it's worth in my opinion. I think that you would be a lot better off just making good content to get ranked better naturally than trying to force your name in to all of these web directories. I guess I don't have the kind of will power to submit on a daily basis, it is one of the most agonizing processes I know of to be entering all of that info over and over again on a big list of websites.

"I'm thinking of offering a submission service in the future..." If you are talking to make it in DP - bad idea. For prices people charge here you won't make even $30 for that. $15 in best case, is it worth it ?

 

DP posters' opinions vary on this. It's hard to find a definitive statement from Google on the "how many is bad" question.

Personally, I lean to your opinion — a modest amount of daily submissions. I do that by going pretty much every day to DP's Directories > Solicitations and Announcements forum and submitting to the free directories there, and sometimes to paid directories listed there.

 

Thats allot of work. You motivated me to this again. I used to do about 20 a day.

 

I do not think it has such a big impact if doing a lot of links within one day. Like already mentioned above it both takes time to get them approved and for google bots to find the links.

Another thing, what would happen if silveraden's site was mentioned in the news and a lot of new sites and online newspapers started to link to the site, do you really think google would penalize it for getting a lot of new links in one day in that case?
