I'm going to be moving Portugal this summer, and ofcourse I am doing my homework beforehand. My question is, which computer shop has the best reputation/prices/support in Portugal?

Products I would like to buy surround servers, KVM's, harddrives, screens etc. I have searched extensively for this, but have not found anything worthwhile.

    So, please help me :)

If you are going to portugal especially to get the hardware, i think it's not a good place to do so :/
Or if you are just moving there to start a business or live there, i can't recommend because i've never been there :)

www.chiptec.net usually offers the best prices.
There are also others with nice prices, globaldata, aquapc, pcdiga etc etc...

Don't forget that in Portugal we use the Euro. So if you are from a country like US it will be way cheaper to buy there than in Portugal.

Prices here are much like in any other country, the problem is we earn way less than they do.

May I ask why you decided to move to Portugal?

Thanks for the suggestions. Wow, chiptec must be the ugliest onlineshop I have ever seen! So far I am far from impressed with the range of shops available in Portugal.

I live in Belgium atm, and I am very accustomed to Europe in general :)

I am moving because of my job, its a complicated situation :p

Is there any serious computer shop available in portugal? :D For example, in Sweden we have have Dustin, which is just amazing. Is there anything similar in Portugal?

Thanks guys for your help, and sorry I am so negative about this...

There are many computer stores here. The big boys are chip7.pt and fnac.pt, to name a few. Then there are other smaller stores that also have some interesting prices. If you go to a big city there are more options than in smaller towns.

You can look at www.fnac.pt but chiptec.net will probably offer better prices. :p

    Good luck with your change.

Thanks again, I'll have a look at those.

Something that I feel is missing from all these computer shops is the possibility to buy servers and/or server parts. Where do the Portuguese buy this type of hardware?

All those stores probably sell them, they just don't put them on the websites because it's not a very common thing to buy here. :/

In my opinion that is pretty stupid, because they are losing money by not updating their site with servers, if they sell them. This feels pretty frustrating :(
