    Social bookmarking sites with the nofollow DON'T affect SEO. Social bookmarking sites without the nofollow AFFECT SEO. I personally use social bookmarking to generate backlinks to my sites.

    I don't think so, what you are seeking for your website, PR or Traffic?
    IMO, If PR, than nofollow will not distribute a link juice to your website,
    But nofollow links may send handsome traffic to your website.
    There is no any negative affects of nofollow.
    Dont confused in it.

    It greatly affect since it is a one way link... Especially if you link on the dofollow SB sites...
