Hi all, I Have a movie on my computer in a dvd format (about 8gb), now I want to burn it on 2 regular (4.7gb) dvd discs in a dvd format, but I don't know how Can someone help me? - explain me how to do it, or give me a link to a site where I can find info about it? Thanks! ~Yefim.
No, I don't want to fit it on one dvd disc, I want to burn it without missing in quality, so I want to burn it on 2 discs..
Yes, it's possible if you're willing to waste lot of time Use video splitter to split the video file in equal half, and then burn the it 2 DVDs. Remember you've do have to add those index, subtitles and so on manually
Before wasting hours trying to spit it, I'd give it a try and see. I'm not sure on a good home theater system, but I guess it'll be fine.
I doubt that you'll notice the difference. Why not just try it and see? You can also use DVDShrink to remove the extras so that there's more room for the movie - if you're lucky, the main movie itself will fit on a single disc without the need to be re-encoded. Then you can put the extras etc on another disc. I've used DVDShrink to backup entire DVDs (menus, extras, everything), and to be honest - about 80% of the time I can't tell the difference between the backup and the original.
I've done this many many times and it is 100%. If you gave me the original and the copy I would not notice the difference!
just go buy the blu-ray version of the movie or Dual Layer? Like the others have already mentioned, I don't think you'd noticed the difference unless you zoom in 4x for the up close and personal genital shots...wait? what kind of movie is this?
u could use pinnacle studio or some dvd authoring/editing softwares. or if u hav a really large backup harddrive u could use one of these tools dvd decrypter, anydvd, smartripper, or dvd shrink to copy data even if u have a copyprotected content
