Article submission? Dangerous or helpful?

What is your experiance/opinion on Article submission? did it harm your SE rankings or it brought you higher in se?

is there any danger of putting your link in duplicate pages? Mass blogposts with my link inside probably hurt my SERPs, isn't it article submission a similar situation?

is there any category of sites which are more suitable for article submission (for example health sites)?

 

Well.......I do not think article submission hurt your SERPs but it helps in getting higher rankings if you link back your site with your targeted keywords in resource box where you submit your articles.......

 

It would certainly help, as long as you aren't duplicating content.

 

i don't see any harmful effect in article submission.
thus, it will help your rankings in SERP.

 

I don't think article submission would harm your ranking. I haven't heard anyone loose their ranking or PR because of their articles are all over the internet.

 

I've only heard good things about article marketing. My experience with it has been good and very helpful.

Article writing is one of the best long term promotional methods. If you write interesting stuff your articles will send you traffic even years from now.

Personally I dont recommend duplication. I generally submit articles only to Ezine Articles. I submitted to many different directories in years past but never saw any significant traffic from any except Ezine Articles and another called the Chroncile

Article submission helps in getting backlinks and backlinks are important for ranking in serp. so article submission is helpful but keep in mind always use author biography with url of site alongwith article .

 

I don't think a duplicate article on another site with your link would hurt your SERP. If anything it would help a little because you have a link AND your article on someone else's site. I started my article directory website www.ReadEZArchive.com in September 2007, and already have 22000 articles and 4000 members. Google is starting to crawl my site more regularly, and gave me a PR2 in a few weeks after I updated my website with the submission features. You can submit your articles to my website for free, and it only takes a minute or two to create an account.

 

when i did the same with mass blog posting my serps dropped. that is why i m asking

 

I personally use article marketing to generate backlinks to my sites for some keyword optimizeds.
