Well, its a start thats for sure. I think modernizing the design itself would be an excellent starting off point on improvement. Now a days, simplicity is almost always the key. It really depends on the niche of the site. Good luck!
I think you still need a long journey to go in the web design... Beside that, try to make your google ads background color match with the template color, to gain the CTR...
I'm afraid I'm not impressed at all. There is just too much going on. You have a huge banner, followed by your navigational menu and then what people would proceed to be the body of the site. However, the upmost portion is almost entirely taken up by a huge graphic of famous rappers. I would advise scrapping that element, moving it into the banner or resizing it into one of the content boxes. Although I will concede that the third alternative is a last resort to keeping the graphic. The colors aren't uniform as well. If I'm not mistaken, the rule of thumb with colors is no more than 3. In the body of your site, you have blue, orange, yellow, red, black and baby blue. It might be time to overlook your color scheme and make sure you have a contrast between dark and light colors. The body of the page is just not doing it for me. One more suggestion, remove the circular stroke around the main blue background, let it mesh into the whole site, especially since most of the physical content is in circular boxes. Speaking of the circular boxes, I did like ones for Latest News and News Archives. I think you should incorporate a similar header from those boxes to the Latest Music and Videos one. I think you should also look into some better fonts or more prominent ones. The ones for the Latest Music and Videos site has got to go, and so has the one that is creating the Wallpapers, pictures and Random stuff text. Again, you should confine yourself to 3-4 font styles at most. Header, Subhead, Body Text and Special Text. It's all a series of rhyme and reason. Good luck,

The colors all clash. The scanlines shouldn't be going in different directions as well. Also, the renders of the rappers are badly cut in some places, And a few of them are lq. The logo and text looks bad, the text is a little over-done as well.
aaron n proximity thnx for your feedback. Yes I relize this already.. Will be making changes. But keep in mind the site is comming into 2008 n gonna be comming in with a bang. Want it to dazzle viewers.
