LOL! I was kinda convinced from the hubby to go halfers on a new PS3. I really wanted to get a Wii but he wouldn't agree to it. lol. Any recommendations on games? He bought Conan, and I bought the new LOST game (haven't played it yet). How different is it really from the PS2? Do you think it was worth the money? We bought the 40GB one instead of the 80GB one.
Congrats on your new baby lol. I think it is deffinately worth the money because of all of the features it has. I own a 60GB myself. One game I would recommend would be the overhyped, CoD:4. I think that the main difference between the 40 and 80GB would be the PS2 compability, a few USB ports and card reader.
Sweeet! Thanks for your comments hav0c I was told by the guy at Walmart that the 60 GB (which is apparently cheaper than the 80GB) are a lot harder to come by. He said that you can hardly find them anywhere. I know if I had searched on ebay, I probably would have found one, but oh well When it came down to it, we figured we already have a PS2, so we'll just use it for the old games that we've got. What's Overhyped about?
Do what everyone else does with there PS3 Then go out an buy a 360 which actually has more then 2 games worth buying
OMG that is hilarious! I wanted to opt for the Xbox, but thought that the way things were moving it would be obsolete next year It does have a lot more games though
I didn't mean overhyped in a bad way, but it seems like that's a game that everyone is out to get. Especially because it goes on sale for around $40 quite often. I'm not sure how much cheapers they are, but they are hard to find now. I bought mine 3-months before the pricedrop but I sold my PS2 for $120 and had a 10% discount which made it better.
I totally agree - in fact everyone on DP agrees. COD4 has got me back into gaming big time. It's not exactly a 'girls game' though... not that there really is such a thing. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is another stand out game for the PS3. You can at least drive around in a girly Suzuki Swift @ AngelaR : don't forget you've also got a shiny new Blu-ray and DivX player
What to do now that you have a PS3? Get netflix and start ordering BluRay movies! Also I have been happy with the Simpsons game. I have used mine more for movie watching than for gaming... kinda sad now that i think about it.
Ohhh, I want the girly car! Sounds good to me!! Thats also very true, and I have NEVER watched these new Blu-ray's before (lol!!) From what I hear in the near future DVD's are going to become obsolete at Blockbuster.

Don't get 360 right now, nobody is selling HD DVD LMAO, PS3 definitely worth it cause new DVDs are Blue Ray - Official new age DVD Gratz on getting it, i'll probably be married before I can buy a PS3 hehehehe
