Please explain: e) Online visibility of the site On an obscure subject, there seems to be only so many relevant sites to get links from. If these links are utilized by most of the sites, then does the quantity of links come into play? With site content, keyword density, this is where you walk the fine line between keyword spam and proper keyword usage. What determine spam or no spam? Again with the bowling balls....you only have one subject you're dealing with on the site, how many times can you actually use the term "bowling balls" before it is used as keyword spam? I've seen sites with tons of relecant information on a specific subject continually be ranked lower than a site with minimum info/content. Is the site with more text hurting itself because of the amount of text as opposed to just a simple phrase? "The history of the bowling ball " vs "Black bowling ball $25.95"
looking for a volunteer to take a look at my situation and offer some advice. Actual site design, keywords and content and possibly why you think the site ranks where it does in G. Anyone interested?
I have one site with PR0 but it ranks first in many competitive keywords. I still doubt whether PR has something to do with search results.
can you please explain what - visibility of the site means? I can understand the age of the site being an issue (9yrs old) but then you say fresh content. Meaning regularly updated?
Hello, I doubt your keywords are that competitive to rank on the first page with a PR0 How many searches per month is a competitive keyword for you? I can show you some keywords, that would be impossible to even rank in the top 20 without having a minimum of a PR4 and up. Let me know your keywords, if you dont mind. Thanks..
The meaning of the online visibility can be : "Reach is important, but online visibility means much more than reach. Gaining real presence on the web means understanding every nuance of how your message is viewed by visitors, search engines, social media services and your customers." in simple terms it solely means the presence of your site on the internet in various forms like online advertisement, press release etc.
Thanks for the replies. I would assume most sites don't have "official" press releases and things like that. I keep loosing ground in Google and really haven't figured out why. The only thing I can see is possibly backlinks but the programs avalable to check for links are pretty inaccirate. Have used Google Webmaster Toolds and Yahoo site explorer. I'm wondering if there;s something wrong with the site that I'm missing. ANYTHING that I am missing.
PR has nothing to do with SERPS. I just found out recently that adding more pages helps search engine rank. I was not on the top 10 pages for my keyword and then i added 4 new pages and updated homepage and now im ranked #12. All i have to do now is SEO and ill be top 3.
