There's a great free guide over HERE. It's very basic for beginners, but also includes some great stuff for advanced marketers as well. Good luck in you learning! You can probably learn everything you need to know for free without joining a membership.
ManchesterTech, if you haven't joined Wealthy Affiliate yet then you need to get on over there and join and start learning something before you start giving out advice. I've been reading your posts and you've been giving a lot of advice (some of it flat WRONG), and you're clearly not that experienced.
"Probably"? What good is "probably"? You might be able to learn everything you need to know for free. If you like the long and hard way then that's the way to go. If you want something structured and you want to get on your way a lot faster, then join Wealthy Affiliate. People make such a big deal out of the membership fee. All you have to do is join, market Wealthy Affiliate, and after you've earned two referrals you've made your membership fee back. The nature of the referral commission is that it is residual, so you will make that money several months after that as well. Truth be told, most people know that Wealthy Affiliate is legit. They are just squeamish about the membership fee because they are afraid of their own failure. If you are confident that you can apply yourself and kick your own a** to work through the material and implement it, then the membership fee is nothing. You'll make money far surpassing your membership fee in short order. If someone who has "made it" with affiliate marketing (meaning they are making their full time income online) tells you not to join Wealthy Affiliate then you might want to listen to what they have to say and consider their words. But there are a lot of people on here for whom it is clear that they are just beginning to learn and are giving out advice. Be VERY selective about whose advice you take. Just because three or four people say the same thing in a thread doesn't make it so. Now some people may say that I'm just saying what I'm saying because I am promoting Wealthy Affiliate. Well, if my opinion isn't very popular with you, then that's fine and I can live with that. However, I will be willing to tell you that Wealthy Affiliate is the best way to go even if you DON'T sign up through me! That's right. Go straight to their page so no one gets the commission if you want. I'll still tell you you'll be doing yourself a favor to join... especially if you are a beginner. There's a guy who is a Wealthy Affiliate member who joined after he was already an advanced successful marketer (i.e. $500 a day). He joined because he wanted to learn the things that Wealthy Affiliate had to offer that he had not learned yet. Now, that's a pretty high recommendation. If Wealthy Affiliate is good enough for someone already making $500 a day, then don't you think it's good enough for you?

I was a member of Wealthy Affiliate for over 1 year. I can tell you honestly that you can gain more information about "True" affiliate marketing from http://www.abestweb.com for FREE and within weeks rather then how to market your IM CRAP to newbies who don't know any better. Yes, we all know that Wealthy Affiliate is legit. I've been there, done that and I'm not knocking it. I just know from experience that you can learn everything you need to know about affiliate marketing from some of the most genuine people for free in forums.
