As long as the world can hear "these attacks will only stop if Israel is destroyed" then these terrorist missions served their purpose. The effect on people will be submission to terrorism -- "can't we just give them the land... the deaths, the oppression, etc. etc." and forget/lose sight of the real problem, which isn't just the past few years or a few miles of land. I hate to break it to you but there isn't a democracy in the Middle East except for Israel. In these other countries all the people don't have a health care system, receive MSNBC, and have a completely different set of values and religion.
